It's nothing major but more misery on top of what was already a very frustrating night and I just think some people on here need to keep their comments about those leaving early to themselves, especially if they didn't go. I've been unemployed for 5 months and I make a lot of sacrifices to go to Spurs; I was at villa on Sunday and I was there tonight even though money is tight and the tie was already lost, so to hear people tell me I'm a shit fan or whatever is laughable but each to their own.

This was not directed just at you Khilari btw.

Sorry it's been hard and great stuff for still coming to support. Don't worry, I don't take comments here personally.

I would ask however if, like me cash is hard to come by and people have paid to watch Spurs play, doesn't it feel worse for those who did leave at half-time? £60 for 90min of football is steep but for 45min seems worse

Also I always remember one Spurs player (can't remember who) commenting on players noticing when fans leave early and said it affected them.

I did think those who stayed were in great voice.

I get what you're saying about the £60 for 45/90 mins but for me last night it was a choice between leaving at 70 and getting home at half 12 or leaving at 90 and getting home at god knows what time. Normally I would just stay until the end but I was already pissed off that we had effectively thrown the tie before a ball was even kicked in Germany so I felt little obligation to stay. Add on top of that the stupid drums/megaphones and just wasn't a great experience yesterday.

I would never do it in a league match though, especially if the match only had a goal or two in it but for all intents and purposes, yesterday's tie was beyond gone at 5-0 aggregate and I make no apologies for showing the same respect to the club as they've shown to all of us with the team selections in this competition and over-accommodation of away fans.

Over accommodation?

In what sense?

Spurs need to buy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer. Do it.
Have you not seen the quotes from him? We tried to buy him 3 or 4 years ago. He was willing to come but Levy fucked him about with the negotiations. (Surprise surprise) He said due to that he will never consider going to Spurs.

Liverpool wont leave out their best players and they are up for it. Anfield on big European nights, is a fantastic atmosphere, very difficult for the away team.
Fancy a wager?
Honestly BD are a level above, they will shit on Liverpool in the home leg. Only benefit is Klopp may be more tactically prepared than Potch because of his experience.

I guarantee they'd lose though.

Oh well, our European adventure is over for another season. They were class over the two legs; totally dominated the play and kept us down to a handful of chances. Easily the best team we've played this season (shame we missed out on Aubameyang...sounds like we might a right mess of that deal!!!)

Luckily for them, they have the luxury of being in a very strong league position; they might not win the league, but they are almost certainly assured of the runners-up spot (and champions league), so they can afford to have a real go at the Europa.

Hope they absolutely smash Liverpool.

Massive overreactions in here.

We lost to one of the best teams in Europe, whilst resting some of our key players. We may still have lost with our first XI, but those claiming we're a million miles away are exaggerating. Our biggest struggle last night was in the final third. Chadli and Son were off the pace, and without a target man occupying the centre backs we had very little in terms of options going forward. You play Kane in those games, and we're immediately much more of a threat, with options going forward.

Struggling in the final third is nothing new now is it? When stats are rolled out stating that we have had twenty odd shots on goal and scored one, it's pretty simple to see where the issue lies. Outside of Harry we have no true goal scoring threat. If one goal in one hundred of eighty minutes against a good side isn't evidence of that then nothing will be.

It will be very interesting now to see how Liverpool fair against them.

Summer will see Poch dip into the transfer market but if we are to more than hold our own in the CL (assuming we make it) then looking in the lower leagues is not the place to strengthen this current squad. Experience is desperately needed and i am sure that he fully gets that by now especially after our exit in the EL.

You sure? Another player like Alli would do no harm.

Not a monetary wager, I dont care enough about Liverpool to do that.
If I lose I will start a thread praising Levy, if you lose you start a thread criticising Levy. Deal?
Haha if you lose you have to start a thread praising levy and also my superior footballing knowledge and as I'm 50/50 on Levy I will start one praising Nacer 'lazy, useless' Chadli and your superior footballing knowledge. Deal?
