While I partially agree with you I don't think Kane or Alli's finishing is what cost us the match today. We were 1 goal up with 10 minutes to go in our pseudo home. Against Burnley. FUCKING BURNLEY! We should always be seeing out matches against sides like that. Especially at home with our defense. Trippier cost us the match today. Pure and simple. Nobody else but him. No excuses.

I disagree that Trippier lost us the match - I thought Eriksen was well below par today. Harry missed good chances. We spent 80% of the match passing the ball back and forth across the back line. We lack a change of pace to cut through teams. When Sissoko came on he added a bit of tempo but his ball control was awful. Today was lacklustre and if their new signing had a bit of a clue about off-sides we could have easily lost this match.

We conceded because we couldn't keep the ball or hold our defensive shape.

With 10 minutes to go we should have killed the game.

Ledley reckons we can beat anyone, how about Chelsea and Burnley for a start, not looking good . We need to inject some pace , we are going to get caught out by the likes of Man C Liverpool etc when they come to Wembley they have real pace, definitely should have gone to Milton Keynes , if the game was boring could have looked at the concrete cows..

Terrible result and a really poor start at Wembley.

Say whatever you want, it is absolutely an issue. Can't wait to get away from the shithole already. Bad times!

It was not a vintage performance but we were by far the better side. We missed way too many chances to finish them off and if you do that at 1-0, the opposition smells weakness and finds an extra 10%

Kane especially could have had 2 or 3.
On another day we would have scraped home, but they took one of their chances after we failed many.

Roll on September, when Harry passes his voodoo and puts the ball in the net.

We should have scored a second, but a top team would have been able to hold a lead at home against a side like Burnley. We might not be a top team this season.

I have more than often seen title winners go up 1-0 and then not being able to score the second, but then killing the game when theres 5-10 minutes left and go home with a 1-0 win.

We didn't do that...

Its often the difference with big teams controlling the situation and other teams just watching time pass and really hoping for the best. It was a throw back to more flaky Tottenham teams as we cleared it long, invited the pressure and just hoped that time ran out for them, which it didn't.

We need Pace in Attack 100%, and anyone who thinks we are fine because we can play that High pressing game or because we have Dele or Harry etc you are kidding yourself.

My problem is we are creating walls for our selves, the Wembley curse, August /kane etc. We're getting chances to put them to bed and failing. Pace down the wings especially is missing, Walker (Wether you like or not) is missed, rose too. What's done is done, but I hope the buys we're in for happen, we need a few alternatives.

Totally agree. But for some reason our players fall for this shit. We can beat anyone and then we can't win. End of the day once we get a few back 2 back wins under our belts and we get rolling.

We are too ponderous in midfield. No good with a speed merchant if the midfield dawdles until the opposing defenders get back in number before he is fed the ball.

End of last season Kane was taking the piss and scoring from anywhere, now he can't even hit a right foot finesse into the far corner from 10 yards out.

We are getting enough decent looks (despite teams parking the bus) but our finishing so far this season has been awful.

hopefully it's just a bit of early season rust and we come back from the international break firing.

Dead right. Lots of top teams struggle to get that second goal, it's not at all unheard of. But what they never do is lose their grip like we've now done two games on the trot. That's the difference.
