Bullshit. On SSN, they said JV was our captain (not referring to today's game), they never said anything about Vorm starting. They simply got their facts wrong, unsurprisingly.

you're gonna look silly when the teams are announced and vorm is starting:whistle:

I feel sick with nerves right now. My rational mind is saying we need to be at our best to win this today, so I am trying not to expect too much from us, but I so want us to pick up silverware this season, and now we have a glorious chance.....Hurry up 4pm ffs!!

So anxious/excited I can't even sit still today. Ipswich playing Norwich and Spurs playing Chelsea. Football marathon and a roast dinner planned! :hungry:

If Vorm starts, you've got to think our chances of winning this match go from 30-40% to something like 15-20%, given that Lloris has 1-2 special saves a game against top sides that Vorm likely doesn't make. Vorm also has hardly played this season and was poor in two of his last three games against far inferior competition.

If Poch knew that Vorm would start this game, then there was no excuse not put out the full starting XI the last two legs against Fiorentina.

I'd personally be gobsmacked if Lloris didn't start. It's the type of risk that could engender incredible resentment towards Poch if it goes wrong, while the upside is very limited. You'd also have to be petrified how Lloris would react to something like that. I don't see any scenario where Poch is deemed successful in the next 2 years where Lloris isn't the GK.

How about we wait until the club announces the XI before commenting, yes?
Do we really need rules about when to comment? I think it is fair to have an opinion and to share that before we know.
My opinion is that Lloris must start, will start, and deeply desires to start. We want him at the club, yes? Then we cannot overlook him today Vorm may have played the matches in this one competition, but Lloris has been with the club the longest. If it comes down to who deserves the most to start, it is Lloris. Every day, and twice on a Sunday.

Looking forward to when we look back at a losing result in 10 years time and remember how our manager was fair to our second string goalkeeper :ROFLMAO:

It was more in regards to what Sky may or may not have said implying that Vorm starts. Until Spurs announce it, there's no point being angry about the potential XI. To be fair to Vorm he's played every other game in the competition, yes Lloris is better, but how would you feel if you were Vorm and not started the cup final having started the rest of the competition?

I would feel that I knew I in reality was second choice, and that the best team should play. I'm very rational about these things.

Exactly. He should fake an injury. That would be the right thing to do. Jesus, how much pressure will he be feeling if he does start. I'd be shitting myself at every ball anywhere near the penalty box.
