It's in the itk 2 different bits

1) bust up between Kane and Ade and mo po backed Kane against Ade, Lennon, kaboul.

2) levy backed MoPo and told players shape up or ship out which Lennon decided to train harder and try harder.

Thanks mate.

I didn't think my hatred could get higher. I now know for sure it can't.

I had his number from day one. A cancer at our club.

I don't think Chadli deserves to be dropped going forward just because of that first half. We are winning today, but we just don't have many in this squad who can score goals like he can. 6 league goals in something like 11 starts as a LWF is a hell of a return.

Would you change this formation and these players that obviously worked for the sake of having a player (Chadli) that you liked.
It worked well today so it should stay the same until it needs changing. You know "If it aint......

I haven't had time to read all that has been said, but I want to say when I saw the team sheet I was worried a little by Mason and Bentaleb in the middle, I am delighted to put my hands up and admit I was wrong. What a great performance from everyone and was really chuffed to see Soldado score I personally love the guy.

Now THAT is the Tottenham we want to see.

Well done Poch for making the changes that were absolutely vital for us. (kaboul, ade, capoue, dier etc) he has done what we have been crying out for ages.

Every single player played for each other out there and for the first time I can finally see what the 'system' is all about!!!

Lloris as always Mr reliable. That save against coleman was unreal. I'm just simply in love with the man.

Davies had his best game in a spurs shirt and really hope he breeds more confidence from now onwards. Snuffed out coleman and whoever was on the right countless times.

Chiriches was also very solid defensively and a much better cover then dier and Naughton. A few times however was a bit clumsy with his passing but can't fault his efforts.

Verts and Fazzy were simply ROCKS.. Lukaku the player we were all afraid of before kick off was lethargic for 90mins simply because of our CB partnership. They are not the quickest but what they both have is superb reading of the game and they were excellent today. What's great as well is they can only get better as long as they play consistently.

Bentaleb and Mason were workhorses and never stopped running. A superb example of what team work is about. Special mention to Bentaleb who came from a long term injury and to put out an efficient performance like that.

Eriksen is on fire and also showed so much hunger. Never seen him work like that in a long time. Well done son.

Lennon really deserves his call up and also a pat on the back because a lot of us wanted him out completely but since his been back he has two assists and lead by example with his work rate.

Sooo happy for Soldado. He took his goal with such quality. The way he composed himself for the goal was class. On top of that he showed great wok rate and very clever on the ball. I have always had faith in him.

Kane (my motm) was the focal point of how Tottenham played. So much urgency and full of heart. Really is becoming a player that we can rely on.

The most important thing now is to work on the starting 11 we had out today and build on from now. Todays game is the perfect platform to build on.

Ain't been this happy on a Sunday in 2014 for a long time lol

Next stop Chelsea. And whatever the outcome is todays game has shown all of us that there is something to look forward to in the very near future. Coys

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to Sky Sports: "Today I showed my emotion, I was happy because I know our players suffer a lot and our supporters too. It was a good chance to give this present of three points to our fans. It is important to enjoy this feeling with the team.

"We need to keep this mentality and try to show the same in the next game. Always you need the time to set your philosophy but today we are very pleased with the three points."

"It shows we have character and that we are brave. Because it was difficult in the beginning, the first shot they score, but we played very aggressive during our game and started to show our style. We need to be aggressive with and without the ball and if we play with this intensity we can win with our style and develop. Today is a good example of what we want in our future."

The changes in midfield by adding Bentaleb and adding some speed and width with Lennon made all the difference today. Being able to get forward quicker the midfield and defence moving forward as a unit meant that we were really giving (unless we lost possession) Everton little room to maneuver. Kane's tackle of fat Barry proved that in spades. The support and opportunities provided to Kane and Soldado and the forced pressure that also led to mistakes by Everton gave us momentum and purpose throughout the game.

Be interesting to see if on Wednesday The Special One puts someone in the face of Mason, who for me was the engineer of most of our good moves. Fact is that if we can carry today's momentum into Stamford Bridge on Wednesday then we may get a result.

Finally a word about Kane, who for my money has never played a better game, and deserved a goal for his effort and determination alone. He along with Mason i thought formed the drive throughout the team today.

i text my bro - an everton fan - before the game stating if lennon plays, we win. If lennon doesn't play you win.
He did a brilliant number on Baines - i think Baines only got 1 cross into the box all game.
I also think Eriksen/ Davies did a brilliant number on coleman also.

That said a lot of credit to Poch for going in 4-4-2 (4-4-1-1) however you want to call it. Really worke out a good system not only to counter Everton and their marauding full backs - but also to get at the everton centre defenders and really allow us to attack them.

We should try to build Soldado's confidence up as much as possible, and that excludes dropping him imo. On the other hand, we really need Kane to spice up the attack. Then again, Chadli is the perfect player to nick a goal in a game like this. I'm glad I'm not Poch..

There is no sensible reason to change this team until it shows signs of struggling......hopefully it wont. I know it's only one game but it's important to the players that they all get a run and keep the confidence going. If you start to tweak positions and players it could backfire.
There were 11 giants out there today unlike the "little girls" we have seen playing in a Spurs shirt in recent weeks.

I.... like most on here...... were really impressed today with the performance more than the result and the points were a bonus.

We probably wont get anything at Chelsea. realistically.

I would be tempted to rest Kane and couple of others and bring on the dipsticks. With something to prove and a raised bar they might just pull something off as is often the case with our mate ade.

and if they dont. fuck em. point proved

Didn't Sunderland win their last season?

I mean how far down the PL do you want to pre-judge the result? Perhaps we should just phone in the three points to the PL on Monday?

Really impressed by the effort and desire shown by the players today, it's been a long time since I've left White Hart Lane this happy, long may it continue.

Christ @Mr Pink people who live in glass houses...

I've already held my hands up.

Or shall I go back and quote all your ridiculous and premature meltdowns during the transfer window over Morgan.

Eh? Don't ever remember saying anything close to that in terms of disagreeing with a team selection. Well I know I havn't.

Sorry, meant to put a wee joke underneath that and fucked it up.

Pink is usually very reserved so I don't think that's a fair accusation to throw. There's a lot of people that can't wait to get their dick out in the match day thread over their own opinions and I don't think Pink is one of them tbf.

So EY credit to you for admitting your error in the matchday thread (where are all the others outing themselves?) but how will you take on board the criticism and how do you plan to implement change moving forward? Will you be so forthright in future match day threads or will you look to take a step back and wait to see how things pan out in future?

Don't mind but this is a message board and it's my pet peeve people who pull up PRE match observations to use as some means of someone look a tit.

I already off my back held my hands up and I gladly ate humble pie.

If this trend continued no-one would bother with pre-match debates and it'd be full of unambiguous, fence-sitting statements.

Cheers.

Was only using it as a lighthearted example of how harsh people can be before a ball is even kicked.

And lets be honest people would of moaned over any line up picked.

Sorry EnfieldYiddo. Didn't mean to do that, thought you would of found it funny though in a way!
