Replacing Hudd with Kaboul almost turned the momentum.

I don't know how we ended up hanging on, we totally bossed the game.

Modric and Bale were absolutely sensational.

I can't wait for the window to open again so we can make that profit on Kaboom

Kaboul's a decent player, he was playing in his third favourite position today, high up the field, when we were under pressure. I thought he struggled initially but did well when Gudjohnsen came on. He also filled the gap between Bale and Bassong well, using his intelligence.

Where we did look out of sorts was when we looked to the flanks. Without the pace of Lennon we realy are struggling to break through the centre.

the one redeeming benefit is the outstanding attacking from left wing back of Bale. He looked awesome today, especially first vhalf, with three world class centres in to the six yard box.

As I said before the game we needed some luck today. And we had with Donovan miss. Hard fought win in the second half. I take it as a positive.
Well done Spurs.

Bah, we could haves scored more. Kranjcar played better than Modric tho.

Think we will really miss the Hudd. It was only when he was gone you noticed we missed his calming influence. That and the Everton substitutions.

Just looking at the Donavan miss gave me goose bumps. We were very lucky today

Great result. Not sure I've been so stressed all season. Modric, Balc, Kranjcar were awesome. I also think that Dawson and Bassong played very well today. Kaboul doesn't deserve any stick either; he came on when Everton were on the rise and worked hard to close down and had a few nice touches. Great win!

What annoyed me was the blatant fouls by Everton to stop the counter attacks. For that reason alone, they didn't deserve anything from this game.

First half performance was one of our best performances this season. I think the game changed with Huddlestone's injury, whilst Kaboul did well, he doesn't have the same understanding with Palacios that Huddlestone has, and that combined with our decision to set up camp on the edge of the box, we made hard work of things.

Most players played very well today, Palacios was good apart from the usual few wayward passes. Dawson was fantastic until the last 20 minutes or so, deciding that he should just jump into everything.

Stand out players for me today were Bale, Kranjcar and Modric. Bale has been fantastic since Assou-Ekotto's injury, and was so glad to see him keep his place despite Benoit's return. Kranjcar was fantastic, his touch, movement, passing, vision was great. Modric was just brilliant today. His close control was great all game, and the first half he was really on song, and what a goal. Loved it.

Pavlyuchenko played well, looked bright and did a lot of running. Think Pav and Defoe could blossom into a great partnership, Defoe looked a little off song today, but was good for the first goal, and clearly carrying a bit of a knock. Great to be not relying on him so heavily for goals now.

Agree, v. ugly and unsportsmanlike play. Organised fouling like that should be punished harder. They were the same at Goodison, and it injures players.

Palacios' passing let him down today. Still a good game from him though.

What a match! Interesting to see the Modders+Kranker wings endeavour pay off, but only eventually. Not sure what to make of that delayed success, but the implication of the success itself seems to be that Kranker is staking a claim as 1st choice backup on both flanks. (At least.)

Crouch I thought was disappointing - all he needed to do was hold the ball up, but passing to him was almost a guarantee of losing the ball.
