Gutted I'm going to miss this game:(, the first home game I have missed in nearly 10 years as a season ticket holder

Bloody cousin deciding to get married during the season to her gooner boyfriend, she had all summer to get married

I'd play Toby, Verts and Wimmer - either in a three man defence or one of them as a DM.

Toby put in a number of excellent performances as a DM for Southampton last term, including completely taking Eriksen out of the match at St. Mary's. Hardly a square peg.

If we played Toby there it's not the midfield I'd be worried about, it's the gaping hole he'd leave in defence.

I agree that it's a worry, Fazio is a disaster waiting to happen and Wimmer, while solid in his limited appearances, is untested in the PL and does not make for the best partner to Vertonghen. That being said, however, fundamentally changing our shape and going without a DM - a state of affairs which left us with one of the worst defensive records in the league last season - is a far greater risk IMO. We have the make the best of the bad choices that our failures in the transfer window have left us with.

its times like these we see what our players are truly made off. all that hype surrounding klopp, all those eyes waiting to see them crush us..against all these odds..if poch can rally our lads to a victory it will be a huge turning point to our season

Don't understand the negativity at all.

Keep the defense as it is, and bring in Dembele to partner Alli....he's hardly a novice and always fairs better against the better sides who afford us more space.

And Ings out for them is a real blow - given his work rate from the front. No Benteke or Henderson either.

They certainly have their injury problems as well.

Dembele will probably be off to Napoli in the next transfer window, so I don't think he will be that motivated.

Well I just think we are unlucky, we don't need to buy another cm now with dier. We are unlucky Mason, bentaleb and dier can play this game. That's all

3 players that worry me for them. Sturridge coutinho and Milner. Got to keep coutinho quite which would have been diers job. Not sure who else can do that. I think it might be Toby as DM
