Being childish is bumping posts after the event to validate yourself instead of challenging it at the time.

If people wish to do that, then fine, if needlessly point scoring is there thing good for them, it would just be a shit forum if we all chose to do that.

Chillax, fella...you ain't seen nothin' yet. Just wait till I catch up with @ItsBoris and put him to the question over the fragility of Manchester Citeh's defence!!! :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

Great game today, a bit of good fortune for the first goal but it came because of the pressure we were putting them under so well deserved, outpressed them, outworked them and ultimately outplayed them, they are a good side so had a couple of spells where they took the game to us but we managed them and took back control very well.
What really pleased me was the way we attacked them and were the better side and then towards the end when we lost Sissoko who gave us a constant out, we brought on Dier and proceeded to defend with complete control, then brought on Nkoudou and Jansen to reinvigorate our attack, we actually adapted as the game went on which is a fantastic thing to be able to do against a side like City.
Pep said he was looking forward to his first ever visit to White Hart Lane, I'm pleased we put on a show to entertain him, the team and the crowd, all four sides were up and rocking at times.

Lamela clashed with other players at Roma, he has an ego, maybe its getting a bit big, but all top players have it. But someone did say after the match Son and Lamela hugged it out. But you only have to look at his comments last year when he said to Rose we should be winning the title. We need some of that.
Yes, I guess it's good that we have players with belief, a little bit of arrogance and fight. Was annoying to see them disagree openly on the field about it then watch "the inevitable miss" happen. Even at 2-0 up the last 15min were stressful and I thought our play deserved a big winning margin.

Something I can't ignore about this Spurs team is the defence.

I've been a fan since 94/95 when we started the season with Ossie Ardiles in charge and never, in all those years have we had a defence as good as we have now.
Sure we've had good defenders. Mabbs, Sol ****balls, King, Woodgate etc. But at no point in those 22 years have we had a top keeper and 4 absolutely shit hot defenders all at the very very top of their game. I've little doubt that come next May we will again have one of, if not the best defencive records.

I am not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but as one of the old timers on here who values the history of the club I am happy the 60-61 team's 11 wins to start the season remains a record.

And how fitting that it was your boys that promptly and emphatically made sure it did remain a record.

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is the love of my life. I'll never find a women to love me even half as much as i love this club.

I'm not surprised - if you talk to the women in your life half as negatively as you talk about Tottenham, the love of your life, then you don't stand a chance, mate

I agree but we must credit the forwards as well as we defenders from the front, they set the press and keep teams at arms length before the ball even reaches the defenders.

Works both ways. With that defence the front are free to play.

I wasn't overjoyed at pochettino when we got him tbh. I did think he'd just be another fad like Ramos or AVB. But I'm almost a believer.
