Had the territorial dominance as is usually the case but players have to be less wasteful and up the tempo of passing. Too many touches in congested areas. That said we were never in danger up until that last chance in stoppage time.

I really enjoy seeing the ruthlessness when we lose possession. Boro didn't park the bus - they tried to get men forward but we were physically dominant swamping all over them and they couldn't string passes together.

Wanyama is a man mountain [his ability on the ball is really underrated too]. If he's not the signing of the summer he must be at least the best value signing. Proved me wrong and I'm glad to say so!

Dunno about you, but these types of wins seem sweeter than some of the more lauded ones. These are the banana skins, which if avoided can lead to titles. We can go into the game against Liverpool with the cushion of a four point gap, which means that we can go on a full press against them if we want.

Great win. Will absolutely take any regulation 1-0 win against a team that comes to WHL to sit back and defend. Compare our win to Arsenal's recent win at home to Burnley. One is a poor performance with an absurd series of events designed to present a get out of jail card and the other is a regulation dominant performance where the winning goal was found despite sheer doggedness. For every WBA 4-0 there will be one like this. Enjoy and laugh at Liverpool and Arsenal

Not a vintage performance, but we thoroughly deserved the win.

We did though make a pigs ear of a load of counter attack opportunities to get the second goal. I thought we were guilty of overplaying on a lot of occasions.

Could have paid dearly for it if that late chance for them has gone in, but it would have been harsh on us.

That was harder than it should have been

I think that weighs up most fans thoughts. We shouldn't really moan at a Spurs side with just two losses is twenty four PL games, which i would suspect is the best ever win, loss ratio in our PL history.

The thing i have noticed of late is the really poor decision making in and around the oppositions penalty area an even when we are inside it. On a few occasions toady Son, Eriksen, Dele and Kane were quite wasteful in either laying on the wrong pass, being indecisive or both.

Young team admittedly but you could see another scoreless draw being served up. The fact that teams come and sit back is no excuse now as we have seen that for over two seasons, what we seem to lack is that little bit of experiencing in the final third.

Time will tell but we have drawn far too many this and last season that in fairness it must be worrying for Poch. With the bench really void of creativity i would really like us to improve this part of the team in the Summer transfer window.

For 85 minutes it was a vey good performance and professional in almost every area.

From 85 minutes on it was poor and could have led to a loss of points. Will always be nervy for any team holding on to a 1-0 lead, but the key is to see the game out which we did.

It was important that we won today and we know we will remain in the top three come what may next weekend - save a hammering by Liverpool which could drop us to 4th.

Chelsea have one hand on the title and I believe Man City will finish second. They will get stronger and stronger.

I think our battle is with Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd for third.

I thought we played fantastic. Just didn't score. It happens.

Some better judgement, more accurate it could easily have been a thrashing.

Well done although i was frustrated and towards the end fearful of a not again. We got 3 points. Much improved.

Harry congratulating Pochettino on having a better win ratio than him over 100 games, then telling him he's done a fantastic job, loves watching us play, and believes we can catch Chelsea.

Pochettino seemed genuinely pleased to hear it, and it was good to see.

There were a couple of issues, Players were getting into good positions with the ball, then took that one carry to many, then there was 'I am going for glory touch'. One thing did stand out for me was the amount of times that Harry was offside. Keeping an eye on him I noticed most of the time he asked for the ball he was in an offside postion. I think we do lack that one creative player, dare I say a Modric.

A Plus 30 goal diff ain't to be sniffed at .. Even after a nil all and a one nil in the last two games.

This is Spurs we are talking about. Enjoy.

When teams come to WHL and sit ten deep it's not too hard to make the game "nil" in our favour to be honest. Not taking anything away from our defence at all but when we have seventy odd percent of possession during most home games own goals become our biggest threat.

In years past though these situations are a ready made 1-1

Did the job, should have had 4-5 goals but the main thing is we won and we have pulled away from the pack a little now before that game with Liverpool, if we manage to beat Liverpool then we will be laughing, if we lose then the worst we can do is finish next weekend sitting in third, so yeah, fantastic result today.
we can only be third if Arsenal score 6 more than us.
Or we get really really tanked by Liverpool.
