If AVB does what many of us fear and leaves Lamela and Eriksen on the bench, while opting for Holtby, Lennon, Townsend, and Dembele, I think it's going to be an almost impossible task for us to score in the first half.

Are people aware of how non-threatening those four likely starters have been this calendar year in EPL matches?

Lennon has 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 700 EPL minutes played in 2013.

Holtby has 0 goals and 2 assists in his last 750 EPL minutes played in 2013.

Townsend has 1 (inadvertent) goal and 0 assists in his last 1300 EPL minutes played in 2013.

Dembele has 0 goals and 0 assists in his last 1700+ EPL minutes played in 2013.

How can anyone seriously sit there and think these four can support or provide for Soldado? How can we finish top 4 with players who not only don't score goals, but also struggle to create for others?

Now the above players are excellent at other things (like completing dribbles), and statistics at times can definitely be misleading, but we've seen what these players could do together the last two weeks and it was very disconcerting in the final third.
