Awful result

Why even give them a chance of progressing. The atmosphere at Brammall Lane will be electric next week and if they get an early goal, we're in for an extremely tricky evening
Hopefully we'll get an early goal and it won't be......and cue a load of 'optimistic' icons!

I say rest the best against Leicester in the FA

We must have these for @ the Blades

Lloris, Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Rose, Dembele, Mason, Lamela if available (Townsend), Eriksen, Chadli, Kane. Full strength.

Don't see the negativity - it's been a good enough result in a game where it was never going to be a goal fest.

Sheffield Utd got to the Semi Finals on merit, beating PL teams along the way, and were FA cup semi finalists last season too, beating PL teams also.

They came to WHL to suffocate our players and block our strengths, and they did that quite well. Pretty similar tactics to what you'd expect from any PL team parking the bus, in all fairness.

If anyone thinks this should have been a stage for us to crush Sheffield United with attractive football and goals galore needs to point me to the last time a PL team actually dominated them in a game.

One step closer to Wembley - Slightly twisting the words of Oleta Adams - "I don't care how we get there, let's get there if we can"

if he prefers to collect deep and hold up, feed it wide and get in the box for a cross, why doesn't he try to do that once in a while?

He is out of form no doubt, I'm not blindly defending him but giving him stick for not running in behind is like giving Lennon stick for not scoring from headers.

What an awful, unacceptable performance. Reminded me of the uncreative shit AVB served up before eventually getting sacked. No cutting edge, no imagination, Kane taken out of the game by being played in midfield. We now have an incredibly tough game to play at Bramall Lane where they will believe they can still beat us, their fans will believe and there will be obvious hometown advantage for the underdog. I seriously hope they don't get an early goal because as this team has shown at Palace they will fold under the slightest amount of pressure.
You surely aren't trying to say that Poch is on the way to getting sacked?

Proper arrogant, its no wonder lower league clubs think PL clubs are supported by wankers.

We have no devine right to beat any team, let alone in a cup semi final.

Since when is winning an awful result? I predicted 2-1, so this is actually better as they don't have an away goal. Mate, it could have been worse.

I just hope Poch is trotting out the company line when he talks about possible incomings!

He really has a big job on his hands. Maybe its a testament to his managerial ability that he has this squad of players as high i the league as they are and still in every cup competition!

So...when was the last time we broke down a team that set up a block?

At the moment we just haven't developed our new system enough to do it.

Not sure why people are surprised how it turned out.

Taking that win and loving it. One foot in Wembley stadium. Nothing to be sniffed at.

Yes a regular positive comment from ss57

You may think a striker who gets barely a quarter of his attempts on target and who has scored just three league goals from open play in 42 appearances/2500+ minutes worthy of a regular starting place, It takes all sorts.

we really lack creativity tonight. we did a bit of running on the right, not much on the left....

lucky to have a lead to bring to the 2nd leg.
