They couldn't score against Aston Villa...

Let that sink in for a second, if that's not utterley inept then I think we have a different understanding if what the word inept means (y)
Well it's an interesting way to define ineptness. Where does Newcastle scoring 2 goals at WHL leave us? And if I recall, Leicester also dropped points at Villa. Very inept.
I admire your confidence that we'll definitely win next week if Newcastle have something to play for.

With their Premiership survival at stake too. I don't care how important the match is for them, they're a shit club with shit players and we shouldn't be panicking about going there requiring a point. In fact we're probably one of only two clubs they'd be desperate not to face in a (potentially) vital game.

They're on the verge of getting relgated, do you know what that means...? It means they've been one of the worst teams in the division. Don't talk them up like they are Barcelona...grow a pair of balls mate.

Exactly why is everyone suddenly losing their shit at the thought of playing fucking Newcastle, we don't even have to win to secure 2nd place ffs.

Ha ha. Losing it big time aren't you? Getting personal and all. Nobody's firing bullets mate, not that you'd understand that.

I'm getting personal by telling you to man up.

Genuinely having a bit of banter but if you're taking that personally then we best leave it there ;)

If Newcastle want to score goals against us, then stick Mitrovic up against Jan. Jan don't jump, but Wimmer does. That said, I'm not sure about not continuing with their partnership at this point in the season. We have to stop the crosses. If they are relegated, then there will be no pressure on them. We have to have belief in our own ability as a team, which means Harry will have to think about passing to the person with the best opportunity to score.

The barcodes are going to be throwing everything up the pitch as it's a must win for them. They might bag one or two but I can see us putting 4 past them if we turn up

Sunderland play Everton on Wedensday. If they win that Newcastle are relegated before we even play. If that were to happen, I'd expect that group of players to fold.

It'll be very after The Lord mayor's show if Sunderland relegate them on Wednesday. I could see their players happy to play out the draw and get on the phone to their agents.

Looks like I picked the right game to sack off in order to soak up the sun and have a nice barbecue! Only the second match I haven't watched all season (the other being our home game against Leicester).

It's amazing how we can have such a great season and still find a way of potentially ending it on a massive downer! Today's results mean we've 100% confirmed automatic CL qualification, which everyone would have seen as a huge achievement at the beginning of the season. However, there's no denying that if we end up below Arsenal again this season will end on a very disappointing note.

Still...at least Arsenal didn't win today, and 2nd place is still very much in our own hands. Pretty sure we haven't lost two back-to-back league games all season either, and there's no way Pochettino will let the importance of this match escape the players.

Had 8 hours sleep and still just as mad as at full time. Just snapped at someone at work who asked me whats happened to Spurs lately. lol

without being a doom merchant, I can see this coming down to the last mins of the season and Spurs conceding a goal to hand 2nd place to Arsenal. It's written in the stars.

Or maybe Villa will score a late winner that sends Arsenal into the Europa? Think positive!
