I do not rate Gio at all but we needed a goal, needed someone on the right and anyone would have been better than Saha tonight, so can see why it happened.

Nerves and not wanting to make a mistake maybe played a part, but whenever he got it there was a defensive wall in front of him, would be silly to run down a dead-end and lose the ball.

As for the second part, we really arent playing well right now, and this is reflected in the form book. Since Xmas we have been patchy at best.

We've had countless fa cup games against lower opposition and Gio hasn't had a look-in. Yet gets off the bench in a tight must win game. Just doesn't make sense. There have been so many other games where it would have been more suitable to give Gio some game time where he might have built up a bit of confidence and became a useful squad player in this important period.

Simply....yep. As I keep saying, Redknapp has no idea how to use a 25 man squad to effect. Now our main core are looking fatigued as fuck and the back ups are too rusty to come in and make a difference.

I honestly can't see how we're going to get out of this rut. I think we are well and truly fucked.

This is just the main problem, sometimes we don't see a player like Krancjar for months, then all of a sudden he's expected to stand in for Lennon. Unfortunately in the modern game you must rotate so you have your players at their peak for the business end of the season. Imo Parker has looked fucked for the last 2 months, over-used in the 1st half of the season? I believe so.

Only thing I want to hear from Harry is 'sorry but we are bottling it, and I think the situation regarding the England job is the main reason for this. I will clear my things out first thing in the morning so Mr Van Gaal can get his office in shape nice and quick and get to work salvaging a season which had so much promise at one point'

LOL

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp: "It was a tough game, Stoke are never an easy team to beat, and they were solid. I said before the game we had to be careful on set plays and we got done on a set play.

"I don't think anyone in the game underestimates Stoke, they were dangerous on the break. It was a game I thought we would win and we're disappointed to only take a point but it might come in handy at the end of the season."

Is that the extent of his coaching? 'Lads - we need to be careful on set plays. Stoke are good at those'

Actually, I'm sure he did a bit more than that (I hope he did anyway!) but I'm really pissed off, not because Stoke were stubborn and our passing was a sloppy today, but because again our defensive frailties let us down. We (eventually) scored the goal we needed after 18 shots on target, but again, let in a soft goal. Stoke only had 2 shots on target all game. We should not have conceded, it's as simple as that.

Shitty goals from set pieces and defensive errors are costing us far too many points this season.

LOL

Sandro's fitness has been a factor in that but then would 'Arry have rested Parker any way? I have my doubts.

Can every one stop even entertaining the fact we will win on Saturday? For starters who is going to fucking score? And how on earth are we going to keep a clean sheet?

We have gone, since that Arsenal game they have looked lost. You can't just turn thy around.

Agree we have not won there since 1990 (I think) but records are there to be broken.

if lennon is fit sat we will win!!!!! Chelsea play open, there will be goals galore. lets just hope we score more than them. They lost a game they were winning tonight. they wont be buzzing much either. get sandro in to.

I know they lost tonight but for me Chelsea looked pretty solid, don't see their morale dropping too much after that game.

We will need a solid defensive game plan if we're going to get anything at the bridge. I just can't see it though i have to be honest.

And there is part of the problem. One winger picks up an injury and we fall apart.

What has happened to Modric?

No cutting edge again but look we are further ahead than we were agains Chelsea and I think we might be better chasing than being chased ref the Woolwich.

We are looking very tired now. Same happened last season when the team wasn't rotated. We should have rotated slightly whilst we were in good form. it is a lot easier to bring players into a winning side.

We always look bloody tired!

Yeah we do. We looked knackered throughout much of the second half of last season too. The excuse back then was the CL run. What now? Harry to England speculation I guess. It's bullshit though. The true answers lie on the training ground. Something is not right. I do not believe that we are as fit as other teams and I do not believe that Harry knows how to pace a squad across a season.

Before today when was the last time we scored an equaliser or winner in the last 10 minutes of a game? It was a true surprise for me that we nicked a goal at the death today because I never expect that of us this year. We generally offer barely any threat after 70mins unless the opposition are chasing. I guess that's the difference between us and Arsenal and other top teams atm.

Ah, you see, therein lies a major part of the problem.

He is not 'doing it' for us any more.

He hasn't been for a while.

Saturday will see us take the lead and look pretty good for 40 minutes then concede before half time. 2nd half we will get battered and lose 3-1.

Confidence is the most priceless commodity in football and we are seriously lacking in it at the moment. Earlier in the season we were on a run and winning games we could have easily drawn or even lost but when you have won a few, things fall into place.

Rose was on the bench, has looked decent lately. Don't get me wrong here, I'm happy to see Gio being given a chance, but surely there is a time and a place? Just makes no sense to me and makes me really question HR's judgement. All season it seems gio is not good enough right? Has probably played less than 100 league minutes. And I think played against Cheltenham in the 3rd round and that's it.

Yet still hr thought it was a good idea to bring him on in a tight game against a physical Stoke team? He could have brought on Sandro or Livermore, and pushed Modric further forward, like i already mentioned Rose could have come on. Just bizarre subs yet again, we've seen before that he can sometimes wait till the 80th min to make a change. Just so unsure of what to do it's not even funny.

another match prediction right yet again for me.

no heart, no desire. no effort. no fucking intelligence or clever movement to break down a stoke side who were playing for draw since the ball was kicked off.

its just so so predictable with these players. they talk the talk but will never deliver and the talk of our manager after game is the talk of a defeated yet predictable man who knows where we are going.

been saying for months we are so far away from been all that and uits coming home to roost now.

chelsea will batter us on saturday. i have absolutely no doubt whatsoever.

no heart no passion and the lack of hunger in spurs for donkey years rears its ugly head yet again.

what bullshit excuses have people for that?

the bottom line is once bale is bottled we have nothing and i mean nothing. we got a lucky goal right at the end and stoke must be fuming at that.

not joking and i dont know many sunday league junior teams over in north london but they would score against spurs every day of the week. its was inevitabel at 0-0 they wud score.
