Last time we see Bale?

That was a beyond turgid performance by us knowing what we had at stake.

Shock Arsenal win, why the fuck did Newcastle give up when they were well on top
A bad performance? We created more than enough to win it comfortably, were denied one clear penalty (Bale) and one that you often see given (the handball). I thought we played quite well for the most part, only struggled to stick it in the net.

That little prick Walcott "what's the spurs score" - like you don't know, and you won so why would it matter? Bell end.

Bale needs to leave, he's going to go in the dressing room look around at the average players around him thinking were the fuck were half of you this season.

Biggest issue now is obviously Bale. If we make a solid statement in concern with him staying it would massively soften the blow of today for me.

I suspect that we'll see a new contract announcement in the next week or so if it is done. Soften the blow of today.

Ah fuck it anyway.

If we don't sort our business out this time around I'm giving up on Levy completely. We're very lucky that Gareth Bale has been superhuman. Wow again.

Why always us?

Because we don't do what we should in the transfer market and most of our players are footballing halfwits.

Shame that it's overshadowed yet another worldie from Bale, he's best in the world for those type of goals by a country a mile.

Really hope he stays, it's integral to our future.

I know we're all pissed in the moment but we've just achieved a record number of PL points for us.

We did great this year all things considered. It's the mental strength to close our a 1-0 or push the 2-1 loss to a 2-2 draw ( a la Wigan ) that we need to work on. Had we had Sandro this would not have happened, while I like Parker and he's been a great servant he does have the football mind.

It's the games at home against the bottom half teams where we're really slipped up. You know, the ones where the players get booed off at half time.

We are all disappointed but we all knew this would be the likely scenario and so it has come to pass but I can't help feeling we are always the bridesmaid and never the bride.
We are the nearly men and I next year will be no different all the teams above will improve significantly but we will fall short again imo.

We did what we could. We got the three points and that was all that could be done from our part.

Missing out on CL footy feels shitty, but this has been one hell of a season and I've enjoyed it massively. Let's just hope Levy gives AVB the resources he needs to really put his stamp on the team. I think Levy might have been hesitant before the start of the season and hopefully he will be more commited to AVB ahead of the 13/14 season.

Highest ever points total for Spurs in the PL-era, highest ever score for a team that didn't qualify for the CL, more points than Harry, despite missing out on CL. This has been a good season.

Oh, and Arsenal can fuck off, as per usuaul.

todays game sums us up at home, loads of possession but clueless football, no end product, creative know how or clever movement, bale got us out of jail yet again but ultimately these home games cost us and was a fair few of them over the season. we need at least one CM and if we are going to continue with this formation then i want an ungrade on lennon, don't score enough goal and certainly don't have influence going forwards.

It's pretty embarrassing that we keep having to rely on Bale to bail us out with goals like that tbh.

Must be rectified next season.
Agreed, but i know some people on here don't think we've been good enough in the second half which is fair enough but we've dominated, something like 15 shots- 13 on target, which is pretty good and our most ever points recorded.Overall it's been a good year considering the players we've lost etc. Obviously gutting it never worked out but it really isn't a surprise, those 3 penalty appeals made it feel like one of those days but i never let myself get worked up before the game and avoided the arse score for most of it and just treated today as close to a normal match as possible.

Let's hope we can finally push on during the summer.

shame but not surprising. didn't expect a championship team like Newcastle to keep out in form Arsenal.
Record points haul is impressive for his first season, well done AVB. Just the teams above us are better than they were last season
Also bearing in mind the usual painful last minute transfers that some seem to think are really great work from Levy. Without Bale(and remember Arse were without their previous magician in RVP), this team would have been 8th.

Bale carried this team from Christmas and deserves to move if he wishes. He is one of the three outstanding players in the world.

Although I don't expect it to happen, I hope Levy moves early in the transfer window for some world class names to reassure him that the club can match his expectations...but I imagine it will be deadline day lottery yet again.

Still...COYS

* If we'd kept VDV we'd be in the Champions League. He would have vastly improved our attacking threat in home matches.
