Simon Davies: made me think I'd have made it as a pro on the right wing (decent technique, slow as, incredibly average in most departments).

I still wear #29 for him whenever possible in Sunday league...

Moussa Saib, had two absolutely brilliant games against palace and wibeldon which secured our stay in the top flight during the late 90's

Gordon Durie, played alongside both Lineker and then Sheringham and contributed to both scoring a lot of goals.

Also Rebrov, and Vinnie Samways

i really liked cerny. he had a much better attitude than Robinson imo.
Cerny's attitude was superb - I met him once with the opportunity to converse and he fully accepted his job was to stay fit and alert to serve the team as necessary, and he knew that he was clearly No. 2 to Robbo. I liked him a lot, he seemed grounded and a real person, with an appreciation of how lucky he was to make a great living from a sport he loves. Top man.

I liked the look of the tall lanky beanpole of a lad that almost cracked it and then got shipped out before being given a proper chance. Peter something.....

So underrated it was embarrassing reading some of the crap posted by "fans" on here about him, and to hear the clueless MotD and Sky Sports commentators saying he was "woefully out of his depth" and "too lightweight for the premiership", ignoring the fact that when he played against Chelsea, the Woolwich or Man Utd, he had their right winger in his pocket most of the time, the most memorable being him shutting out Ronaldo like a cat that shit on the rug.

As Martin said, he was possibly one of the best LBs in Europe at the time, it's a shame that so many couldn't see past his size.

Paul Moran. Remember him and Howells coming on in a game when I think we were 3-0 down and those two combined to get us 2 back. They were magic that day and I always rated him after. Sadly, can't remember what happened to him!

He used to go to Albany, proper local lad. Have a vague memory of him moving to Enfield at some point. Wasn't all that, mind.

I used to like John Pratt. He had nice eyes. Everyone else hated him because he wasn't much of a flair player. I am prepared to look beyond petty things like that.

Man, forgot about Durie. There was a run of games where we totally relied on him - he'd have been shit-hot in a good team.

He also said that he'd take a massive dump just before kick-off every game. Or it might have been make himself vomit, one of the two. Classy.

Nico Claesen. Why did we use to sing his name? I can't actually remember anything that he did.

Cos he was Belgian? I liked him too, maybe it was the name.

I will have to admit to liking Oyvind Leonhardsen, no idea why, Paul Stewart and Paul Walsh were also players i liked. Someone said Simon Davies earlier, which i'd go with to some degree.

Loved Nick Barmby, came through our ranks, could have been a legend with us, but was homesick and went back up north where his career kind of faded out.
