Yesterday I was told he was certain to join Sunderland. This morning it's don't write off West Ham, they are desperate to get him. The usual last-day mallarkey I fancy.

If Keane plays the way he's playing for us now, WHU will be in the CCC in no time. He has looked almost as bad as that Italian loanee they had last year.

People seem to be writing off Keane very quickly.

Would be curious to know his stats for the calendar year 2009.

In the intangibles, he seems to have been an essential part of our survival last season, really changing the attitude. But since we've played well, he's been less and less important. Defoe has scored a bunch of goals, Crouch seems to partner him well, and other players (Modric, Kranjar) have been providing creativity and others (Dawson, Palacios) have been setting a tougher tone. Keane looks much reduced in importance tot he team, and this is coming from someone who has always liked him.

Keane will always be a spurs legend, regardless of his second stint, just as Hoddle's status at spurs isn't lessened in any way by his attempt at management

Only if they send us Parker. Just the type of player we need to see out games.

I really wouldn't put too much reliance on Defoe, sure he's better than he was first time around but he still has his off days, which is why we should hold on to Keane.
