Kyle Walker coming back. Looks like we failed on the GK front - Begovic really screwed us. May be past deadline, but its not completely over. But looks likely that the rest of the season will be spent praying that Gomes doesn't get injured.

Walker coming back would make a lot of sense. How would the post-deadline bit work with a GK?

interesting that walker's been recalled potentially whilst naughton's been sent on loan. I thought the opinion when we signed them was the opposite. Kind of like when we signed routledge and lennon.

I would be much happier if i knew if walker was coming back. Still think it would have been better to loan walker and naughton and keep a experienced right back that has done well when played. Especially in the run in for the top 4.

Hutton and Naughton both gone, we have to have a back up for Corluka don't we? Also as for the GK, yes, we have better pray Gomes doesn't get injured, but given the way he is, I would say he could be!

I think this has been a bad window, keane, Hutton, Naughton all gone, no keeper signed! leaves us very short at RB and GK - and EG and Kabul offer nothing more I feel!

Thanks for the info.

Makes sense I suppose. Has anyone seen much of him this season?

Kaboul has been playing almost right wing towards the end of games that Pompey are losing, so maybe 'arry sees him as a possible Chorlie back-up?

I think he has been quoted as saying that Kaboul could cover for Charlie if needed as well.

in games where the bus is parked we could do a lot worse than Jenas as an attacking RB (and hope the other team don't decide to start attacking)

The right back thing is weird. From four to one (and a half).

And still no back up for GK and Wilson.

As for Keane and Hutton, I suppose Harry will say we will have happier/hungrier players in Gudjohnson and Kaboul. Not sure though, feels weird.

GK:

I'm only putting 2 and 2 together (hopefully making 5), but shortly before transfer cut-off time, Hull released Tony Warner from his contract, making him eligible for signing after the window..... probably better than Alnwick, but:-(

If Walker is coming back, why would Kabouls cover RB when its Walkers natural position?
Harry seems to value that he's played there in the PL. Presumably, Kaboul first choice to fill in there, and Walker then likely if Kaboul has to cover at CB.
