Asked a blades fan earlier about how Walker was doing and he said ..

Top Class mate!! Currenly up there to be my Player Of The Season - though had his worst game v WBA on Sat imo....

All that said he has pace to burn but will he ever get the chance with your lot? still very, very raw - but has major potential to go to the top imo!!

interesting that walker's been recalled potentially whilst naughton's been sent on loan. I thought the opinion when we signed them was the opposite. Kind of like when we signed routledge and lennon.

Or kinda like when we signed Reid and Dawson?

Or kinda like when we signed Etherington & Davis?

Can you get special dispensation from the FA to sign an emergency gk if necessary?

We already have a back-up keeper called Walker, don't we? Jimmy? His 'Happy New Year' message in Hotspur mag was funny - he said he hoped to challenge Gomes for the No.1 spot & maybe make the England squad...

...I'm not sure for which sport, though. Still, I like his optimism.

Back to topic, Kyle Walker returning would make sense as he's been by far Sheff Utd's best player this season. It would be a kind of loan-exchange thing so both players get half a season each of 1st team footy & we're still covered now Hutton has gone as well. I just hope the ITK proves accurate otherwise it'll be the old "square pegs" problem. Again.

If Walker is coming back, why would Kabouls cover RB when its Walkers natural position?

Because Walker has only played about 20 senior game and has hardly set the Championship alight.

He's a good athlete but doesn't have the judgement or intelligence to step up to the next level.

If anything happens to Charlie we've got to call Hutton back IMO.

If he's signed for the rest of the season I don't think we'd be able to recall Hutton.

I asked earlier this morning if we could bring back Walker should we loan out Hutton and Naughton, noone seemed to know but it made perfect sense to me.

Dan, I'm not sure right backs ever set any division alight but by all accounts he's been very good, I think the same things could have, and probably were, levelled at BAE & Bale, you have to just do it sometimes and if it's true he's coming back I guess we must have had him watched a fair bit and reckon he's ok.

The last few times I've seen Walker I've been impressed and he's both fast and good going forward.

Actually Bale did set the Championship alight from full-back. Remember he is also only a few months older than Walker and he's a year younger than Naughton.

My benchmark for the Kyles is Gunter. Gunter has been a standout defender in the Championship this season, far eclipsing what either Kyle demonstrated at Sheff U.
