The last few times I've seen Walker I've been impressed and he's both fast and good going forward.

Have you seen what happens to him when the defender drops off and gives him options? He's like Jenas, he just doesn't have a clue when it's not instinctive.

Gives away an awful lot of possession too.

Actually Bale did set the Championship alight from full-back. Remember he is also only a few months older than Walker and he's a year younger than Naughton.

My benchmark for the Kyles is Gunter. Gunter has been a standout defender in the Championship this season, far eclipsing what either Kyle demonstrated at Sheff U.

never heard a bad word about Gunter, never understood signing 2 RB's a year or 2 apart, surely you just sign the better prospect

Yes we should never have sold Gunter, but Harry is always right ?

Gunter didn't defend as well as Corluka does and didn't get forward like Kyle Walker does and that's why I think he didn't fit in here, Harry wants a defensive RB behind Lennon or alternatively a fast overlapping RB.

Is Kyle Walker actually coming back by the way?

I've seen a fair few bursts into the box followed by dangerous passes and crosses.

it's understandable if we gave them no time to get a replacement (50 minutes before 5pm) and they are looking to push on to the play-offs?

although they have just got nosworthy who can play RB but was probably bought to fill a CB berth.

Bit of a dig by SU there!

Indeed! To be fair though, it does seem like we've pulled the rug out from under them. Probably would've been best for everyone to loan Naughton back to them rather than Middlesbrough if we wanted to recall Walker - it's not like Naughton will learn/develop that much more at Boro than he would at Sheff Utd. Imagine that they won't be keen to do business with us again in the near future.
