I heard his response on the radio. he sounded like a bitter and twisted toddler.

stupid question as he's hardly likely to say "yeah, I really regret it, worst decision of my life".

He could've said "of course not. I'm very happy at Manchester Utd". Job done
You are correct. That is how he should have responded. The trouble is him trying to justify why he is happy at United!

United are bigger than everyone, which is quite unfortunate for Louis, as now the whole world recognises his weird face.

If I was skilled in photoshop I'd mock up something like Daniel 'Neo' Levy dodging little LVG-shaped bullets Matrix style.

^^
Fellaini 'I wish I was him'
LVG 'I wish you were him'
Giggs 'what's his girlfriend like'?

LVG is past his best and mad but is still one of the most accomplished and tactical managers the prem has ever employed. If he is failing, (and I feel he would succeed in time) then it is because the players are not as adaptable as he is used to. It is a great opportunity to set the club up from top to bottom and bring through some technical english players.

Guardiola is another manager who will expect players to be able to happily perform well where ever he puts them, and he too may find out that for all the money spent on facilities and players, that just isn't the culture here, and his existing stars only excel in one part of the game. He too might not summon up the instant success that many are predicting.

The TV rights/oil £ premiership is attracting terrific managers and this has to be good for the game - we always have had the talent in this country - it is just we are usually led by donkeys and fraudsters.

People saying that it was a bullet dodged are over looking the fact that LVG only does well at relatively small clubs

He did well at Ajax(which is a big club but in relation to the CL clubs, is tiny) and won the CL
He did ok at barca before it turning a bit sour but had a great legacy
He did poor with a great Netherlands team that included Davids, Seedorf, Kluivert, Bergkamp, Van Nistelrooy and etc.
He did terrible with Barcelona but had a great legacy
He was brilliant at AZ
He was did ok at Bayern but has a great legacy

He was never going to do be great at united, he simply isn't a big team manager however he does great with youth and is arguably one of the best

He can take players straight from the academy and get them playing well at a high level and I don't think I can think of another manager who can do that

Man Utd academy is lightyears behind us but he has a good effect with some of their players like Rashford, Lingaard(who isn't good), Fosu-Mensah, Borthwick-Johnson and etc.

Don't understand why so many people in and associated with the sport focus so much 'club history' etc. You're as good and as reputable as your league position and GD.

Should shut his fat fucking jealous mouth and stop deflecting from his piss poor managerial performance at a faltering falling giant.

This pic sums it all up mr VG.

Jealous much?

It's Giggs' face in that photo that makes me laugh. He looks so pissed off. I suspect it's the same look his brother is carrying around with him every time he thinks of his sibling!

I think with van gaal it's also worth remembering that he was going to retire from football after the last World Cup and if it's to be believed when he met Levy, Levy was having to persuade him to take the job as LVG wanted to retire to his holiday home in Portugal. But Man U came in and he couldn't turn them down which is fair enough.

I did want him as our next manager but was always concerned as to whether he'd have the drive to be a premier league manager at his age.
