Why don't we just get Carlos Cueller, the best center half in Britain.

Because he may well end up being another Jean Alain Boumsong. Look like an absolute world beater/monster in the SPL but no better than average in the PL... The fee we would have to pay for him would be silly too!

Right this transfer saga (don't you love it when a rumour becomes a 'saga'?) seems to have largely bypassed me so I will open my questioning with this...

Is he any good?

You mean like last year when the OS announced Ghaly to Birmingham was done?

From everything that has been said, it looks like Corluka agreed a deal and signed for spurs, but City may have been able to exercise a loophole after Hughes made it evident he was pissed off. That is no fault of the ITKs so give them a break. Many Man City ITKs also said it was done, even Corluka's Mrs said it was as good as done.

Give ITK's a break? What the fuck have they done to deserve it?

That post is the behaviour of a greedy, selfish, mean-minded little prick.

Are you one?

What they have "done to deserve it" is to go out of their way to share information that they get with us. For no money. Just because they want to. A few of them have a regrettable tendency to get over-excited, which leads them to jump the gun. This can be annoying.

But they aren't obliged to post stuff to please impatient, intolerant, perspective-disabled prats like you.

Have a bit of fucking respect for other people. And if you can't, then go away.

Mate,

You read them, you want what they give so take the good and take the bad.
You're revealing a serious lack of knowledge as to how business in football works.
Trust me, there have been many transfers in the past which were 'done' only to fall apart even after agreements have ben made and hands shaken...

If I told you that before Zoltan Gera signed for West Brom back in the mists of time he was all set to be a Spurs player (medical done, etc) only for us to pull out at the very last moment, would you believe me? Not that it's important whether you do or not, my point is that things happen and then suddenly do not, and sometimes things move beyond the realms of normalcy (this Corluka affair caught EVERYBODY by surprise, I heard it said that this was unlike anything certain parties had ever witnessed in the game)...I've told the following story before but I'll repeat just for accent...American striker Eric Wynalda once told me that he was going to Aston Villa, that it was all done. And we saw what happened there...

Personally, I think it's incredible that any ITKs even bother. I wouldn't want the pressure myself...

I really hope we get him, but am I the only one who is wondering why none of the usual football websites have mentioned the "hostage situation" or anything since the City home site statement that he is staying.

Just got this from bluemoon forum...

some inside news again and AGAIN it doesnt look good...simply i wont take any news seriously
till the transfer window closes and please dont shoot the messenger...

This guy told me that Charlie was in London and that transfer is finished deal, people in City told him it is finished matter and that he is going for medical. Charlie signed the contract, done a medical and stayed in Tottenham hotel. Later someone from City called him and said to him that deal is off and that he must return to City because they wont let him go. Charlie was shocked and couldnt understand anything...first he felt that he must go because money is priority and then for some reason he is summoned back.It is true that he was at training today and he still didnt get any answers regarding transfer.

Anyway he got calls from Tottenham and City staff with everyone telling that he is their player. City telling that they will arrange that deal is off, and Tottenham telling that it will be solved in day or so, because everything is arranged for him to move or they will take legal action . At this point Charlie was pretty worried because that ment that they maybe could prevent him from playing until case is sorted out. Also he got call from some guy from Premier League who told him that Tottenham will win if this goes to court because they have signed authorization from club, they have Charlies signature and also they have LAST YEAR MEDICAL that City sent them before his medical in London. That means that City was willing to sell him and that everything was prepared and suddenly he is summoned back.

He also said that Ireland to Sunderland move was pretty much alive and also done by the same person from club who was responsible for Charlie move, again behind Hughes back. Hughes again was pissed as hell and put a stop to it.

Also one thing regarding that story that Corlukas agent said that he is unhappy at City and that he wanted to leave. I knew that story is load of crap and heres why. I asked this guy about it because he is good friend of Charlie and works in Dinamo Zagreb and he knows how the transfer with City went. Anyway Corluka DOESNT EVEN HAVE AGENT, on his contract with City under the "agent" was blank space also in Dinamo contracts no agents were mentioned and Charlie said he didnt get no agents in England. If you go to transfermarkt page you will see that Zdravko Mamic is his "agent" but it is untrue, ZM was with him when he signed for City because he is president of Dinamo Zagreb . ZM also has football agent company that lured many Dinamo players and some foreign. But Charlie never went under his wing and Dinamo fans were delighted becuse ZM is money grabber and is pretty much disliked in Croatia. I am telling this becuase Corluka moved to City partially becuase of ZM and his interfering into club buissiness nad Charlie was almost chased off from club. It is similiar situation to this, club stated that they are willing to sell him, he rejects, club said they dont have money and it is a must, he signed and now he is summoned back.

Also regarding transfer fee...it is 8.5 m pounds, i just cannot believe it !!! If you take that pound lost some value from last year, then Corluka is sold for about same price he arrived in City. Croatian international, 22 years, 3 positions, 1 year prem experience, his value will be increased just after octobar when he plays qualification games for World Cup....you really dont need to have a degree in economics to see this is bull. And now when i wrote this i remembered that he told me that a guy from Tottenham that was arranging the transfer, i think he said Levi or smth, said that deal is done and that they will even try to give more money to City just to finish this saga...

Writing all this, i would like to know answers to following questions :
- Who is guy responsible for authorizing Corluka transfer and trying to do the same with Ireland?
- Why City summoned Corluka back if all papers are signed and if all authorizations are given? Surely City staff know how the buissiness is done... or dont?

Dont know how this will end and apparently Corluka neither, but if he goes i just hope Tottenham will load more money to City door than 8.5 m...fuck, why he was told to go in the first place, none of this shit wouldnt be happening...

It is well known that he does a few lines on cocaine in the changing rooms before every match.

No doubt that will wind up all them over at Bluemoon

Funny enough they have'nt responded to that post yet.... All day the city fans have been taking the piss out of our failed swoop for him aswell as believing that he's staying because the official site says so....
