A note of caution :cautious:, The Toulon tournament isn't a particularly high standard, I've been fooled before by players who've looked absolutely brilliant at this level but have gone on to have less than stellar careers.

In fact we've signed a few of them eg. Kevin Prince Boateng, Sebastien Battong, Moussa Sissoko, Vincent Janssen and been linked with quite a few more eg Loic Remy, Kevin Gameiro, Keisuke Honda, Tim Krul, Nuri Sahin, Ever Banega, Adrien Silva, Morgan Schneiderlin, Joel Veltman, Luan, Adrien Rabiot etc.

There's been some good ones too, notably James Rodriguez, Hector Herrera, Jack Butland, Eric Dier, Thomas Lemar and Harry Kane but overall the pickings have been pretty thin compared to proper international youth tournaments.

Feel like we had a certain Algerian with basically that exact skill-set lol
I've watched also. This guy also shows a burst of pace every now and again which Bentaleb didn't. Maybe Nabil would still be at Spurs with a different attitude? And we didn't do so bad from him in the end.

SC LOGIC

We really need to start signing players before they become superstars and we can't afford them

*Spurs target a young player with potential*

We have no ambition. We only sign players who are midtable quality

What most of SC wants is to operate like Stoke.

Sign players you've heard of like Shaqiri and Bojan who are actually pretty bunk.

Like the Spurs of old. Players on their day capable of putting in great performances but those are days are few and far between.

Yep.

I even remember a couple windows ago people getting twitchy that Stoke were going to overtake us because they were making such stellar signings :ROFLMAO:

Interesting how heavy we are targeting french league. Guess Monaco have shown there is some serious gold mining to be done.

I'm happy with this strategy as long as we actually give them a real chance to play and develop.
Sure @Spursking likes this too

wait so we are seriously debating that good signings don't make better teams hence winning things?
Well lets just hope we sign someone to get us into the Champions League and thus taking us up another level and supporting our club financially while we build a new stadium. Oh wait..

You said we win something for signing players.....?

Ah, but you sneakily add 'good' signings this time!

Yes, let's just make good signings - and win! I dont understand why we bother drawing or losing games...Whats the point?!

The signings of Nkoudou and Njie are low risk high reward, we're essentially loaning these players by getting them in for low fees and if they don't impress we can easily make our money back on them, my only concern would be that we start to get a negative reputation.
