I know, great isn't it. I love the energy he brings to the side + he's able to cover Doherty as he jogs back after a failed run/cross/pass up the pitch

It's a pretty pointless discussion as there will be a ton of rotation over a season, but football is played at both ends of the pitch and I would back Jose and agree that this team with Sissoko + Gio/Tanguy in it would win more games over a season than with Gio + Tanguy in it

Bale starting! ??

He’s on my fantasy footie bench this weekend as wasn’t sure yet he would start - hopefully I’ll be proper pissed of later and he’s scored and assisted shitloads of goals!

I'd say GLC gives us better balance, but maybe he's not fit enough.
I also think it has something to do with Ndombele not quite being able to play the full 90 minutes, so Jose wants to have someone capable to sub him off for, seeing as we all saw how things went when he subbed him off for Winks vs. West Ham.

We’re seeing SKB start before we see Lo Ndombjerg start... interesting but not complaining!

With the exception of Lo Celso being on the bench, today’s line up is undoubtedly our absolutely strongest line up.
Notice also no Dele and Rodon on bench instead of Sanchez

Good news Perrira isn’t even in the squad for West Brom today. He always looked dangerous when I watched them.

If we score early, we will win this by a few goals. Breaking down their defense could cause us problems though since we seem to always struggle against teams that sit back.

The difference in quality between the two teams is immense so I'll go with a nervy 1-2 win.

How is he still getting gigs in Pl
Should he have been sacked after getting the club promoted?
Last seasons multi title changing of that thread was embarrassing, it was almost weekly and it was done in response to people crying about seeing it in the title. Unbelievable. This time, the minute it gets changed i'm locking it. Enough pampering the fragile emotions of some people. We win, we lose. Anyone who still can't deal with that needs to stop accessing the internet and pick up their Barbie dolls, four square rubiks or whatever it is that's laying neglected in their toybox.
I hope I’ve not caused issue in my attempts to please everyone.

And the reason I’ve chosen the tenth match as my watershed moment is only a bit of old fashioned ‘the tale means nothing until you play ten matches’. After that, what will be, will be.

Sissoko starting again. Clearly both Poch and Jose see something in him what we on forum don't.

I'm ok with it as far as we win.

Always thought we were one elite CB away from being a ‘complete’ team with no obvious weaknesses, but if that’s our formation going forward we need a long term replacement for Sissoko. Thomas Partey-esque.

Our most pressing position to fill is a DM. Hojbjerg isn't a DM and neither is Sissoko. Having a DM will free Hojbjerg up to press higher up the pitch and win the ball in all areas of the pitch. It'll also help cover the centre halves and wing backs. I'd say we also need a right back upgrade. Centre half I reserve judgement on until I see Rodon play.

I think those expecting to see GLC and NDombele line up in the same central midfield together are going to be disappointed. It's one or the other for most games I suspect. Mourinho traditionally likes a solid midfield and a midfield (especially one without a dedicated DM) containing GLC and NDombele is just too exposed defensively.
