Welcome to the West Ham Vs Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

We have to improve on our performance that we showed against Chelsea, Wolves and Forest if we are to get anything out of this match. Probably its time for Conte to make some adjustments with regards to the starting personnel. I believe that if the results were not going our way, with the performances we have demonstrated so far, the fans would be more vocal with any displeasure.

Saying that, it would be a very good start to our campaign if we were to get 3 points at the London Stadium. I just pray that our performance improves, and Conte make changes where it is obvious he should

Romero - Dier - Davies
Royal - PEH - Bissouma - Perisic
Kulusevski - Kane - Richarlison

Conte confirmed that Romero and Skipp should be back and ready for the West Ham game. I'm not sure if Bentancur suffered a concussion but still feel Bissouma should get a start this week.

Did he say that today? I thought it was Romero back in training this week.

No, it was during the Nottingham preview video on the official site. He mentioned that Romero would be back for West Ham and should be available unless something has changed.

I'd play:

Lloris

Romero
Dier
Davies

Royal
PEH
Bissouma
Perisic

Kulusevski
Kane
Richarlison

*Son off the bench/and back in against Fulham

Expect them to amazingly turn into world beaters on Wednesday night.

This'll be tricky.
They rested Antonio yesterday so he can have his one World Class performance of the season against us.

Has Moyes always played 3 at the back?

Cresswell as LCB yesterday...that a new thing? Always thought he was just a LB in a flat back four.

Perhaps why they've started slowly this season....

They changed to back 4 at half time. Wasn't working for them.

This, but Doherty in for Emerson for me. And if Bentancur is fine to play, I'd rather drop Højbjerg for Bissouma.

Tricky game and one which gives us a bit of a guide for the season, they raise their game against us and we often drop points at the athletics meccano arena.

I would be happy with a draw because of the things you mentioned

A draw against an upper mid table team is no good to us. Based on the last few seasons, you can get away with dropping points in a maximum of 8 or 9 games if you want any chance of winning the league, you can’t waste one of those against West Ham this early in the season when they’re not playing well.
