He can be a headless chicken when pressing, its better that a more disciplined player is in the middle with Capoue.
True but he did well on the wings and soldado brings the best out of the midfield imo

spare a thought for Stoke.... their lineup is
Stoke XI: Begovic, Bardsley, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters, Whelan, Nzonzi; Bojan, Ireland, Arnautovic, Diouf

i like Behovic, but the rest are relegation fodder especially with Hughes in charge.

To be fair to Poch, he's yet to see Verts, Dembele, Paulie and Chadli in a match so is expect them to play on Thursday. Don't undrstand why Vorm not on bench...injured or is this due to the dispute Swansea have?

Would've been sent off against Shalke if it wasn't a friendly for that 2 footed tackle. Can't afford to go down to 10 men away from home

Holtby and Davies. For a start.

Can't believe after last season we are starting with rose and naughton as full backs.

Weakest full backs in the league
Walker is still not fit yet, so who would you have chosen at RB instead?

Piling on west Ham to win to soften the blow.

Not a great start poch!

Awful awful awful.

lol, have you seen West Ham's starting 11 yet? I would keep your money in a hole in the ground if i were you.

The problem is that Holtby is competing with Eriksen and Lamela for two places in the team effectively. Poch likes a 'direct', pacey option from one of the wide players and as has been said I don't think Holtby is suitable for the sitting midfielder roles. You cant shoehorn all the players into the team.

Can't see us keeping a clean sheet with that defence..! Hopefully our front four will be lively in the other end. 2-3?

I think as long as Dier has experience next to him he'll be fine, if he was partnering Vlad then I'd worry but being next to Kaboul he should be ok.

Kaboul must not venture upfield too much and leave Dier exposed.

Naughton is OK I personally thought Rose was shite last year but he must of shown Poch something in pre-season to be starting ahead of Davies - Unless he has an injury?

He got them playing well last year though ? Done well with them so far. With arnautovic and bojan they have quality to win games. Did they get assadi from liverpool
