I don't think holtby is good enough defensively to play next to capoue, if he plays it has to be in one of the 3 behind the striker for me

His fitness was not raised as an issue, nor Mason, who also missed the Schalke game; I would quite like to see their pre-season partnership given a run out in the Premiership.

Also no mention of Vorm being a doubt, which is odd given his omission from the Europa squad.

I think Lamela will start the match but you are right, he will get kicked up in the air as soon as he gets the ball. He will have been idntified as a key player. Step forward Kevin Nolan, the thug.

If he's ever going to be a success in the premier league then he needs to deal with that. No point in hiding him away.

He's also quite sneaky with it so has got away with it every time so far. Not that I condone such behaviour, but Nolan deserves everything he gets.

The kid has sat on the bench enough. If he's ever going to live up to that transfer fee, he's going to have to get on the field, and if he's going to get kicked black and blue for a few months, then so be it.
