Be more objective and trust and give all the players at his disposal a chance, and not only those he favour. e.g. Bentaleb over Capouie. He went on record saying he played the former because he trusts him. If that's the basis of how he selects his team, then he should not be Manager because he will only pick certain players at the detriment of others.

I was in the pro Sherwood camp when AVB was pushed, but I became alarmed and then concerned that certain players are going to miss out because of what he said.

Fantastic question I must say.

I feel that I am going to get shouted down here, but Sherwood need to finish top 3 and play attractive football, and that is all.

The reason for me saying this is 'do we really think that we are going to finish Higher under Sherwood than we would have done under AVB?'.

This will never be proven but I think not. Yes we had 2 trashings under AVB, hard to take I know, but one was against Citeh, and they are going to do that to many teams at their home this season, and by Liverpool who on that day were unplayable, and we were dire.

I think that we would have had the same points tally over Christmas under AVB. I agree that he did not excite much with his play, and we looked lost at times, but he IMHO he was building something.

I fear that Sherwoods Gung-Ho attitude is going to be found out quite easily, and I fear eve more that he has no plan B.

We were in a reasonable position in the league when AVB left, and we were all shouting because he was not playing the "Tottenham Way" and bemoaning his team selection and tactics. There were no real echos of this last season so I can only put that down to the new players that have come in.

This is not a love fest for AVB, and I think that we should have stuck with AVB until we had a replacement ready. We have always as Spurs fans suffered from Levy's 'Knee Jerk' reactions, which has meant that we have not progressed as I feel we should have don with any of the management changes that we have had over the past 5 seasons.

I want us to play attractive football. I want to be entertained when I pay good money to go and see them, but I also want them to be successful, and that is a very fine balance.

So as a Tottenham fan I will always be behind our Manager, whoever that be, but I want success.

And as I said before, I fear that although Sherwoods Attack Attack Attack tactics might be good to watch, will it take us to where we want the Spurs to be??

If he gets top 4 we keep him regardless imo.

top 6 - if it appears we can upgrade in the summer then we do so.

If we finish mid table or below and are looking poor then we seriously look for anyone who could be an upgrade.

simple - top 4 nothing else, Levy didn't spend £100m plus to finish 5th even if he is likely
to be the single biggest reason if that target doesn't get hit

Getting 4th might need almost form of a champions, I mean when he took over Liverpool (probably the team we must take over) was practically 7 points ahead (6 points with +27 better goal difference). And Liverpool have home advantage on top of that at spring. Asking for 4th might be tad much.

First things first.
Stop lying.
Saying you dont know any of the players, really?
Werent you on the transfer committee?
What you havent watched any first team games this season?
We are not that gullible Tim.
Top 4 nothing less, you have the squad and its a simple game.
Try playing a DM it might help(this is just my own personal opinion)

Why? Why do you care what he says on the media? Don't know a single top manager that doesn't lie to the media if it's in the interest of the team. Couldn't care less about his talk if he walks the walk.

2 points off 4th with a fantastic squad, i think thats very reasonable.

Will need to be better than 3 of

City, Bluescum, Scum, Pool, Everton, Manure.

Big big ask and I would say our squad is better than only 2 of those.

IMO TS will have overachieved if he were to finish 4th.

Top 4 form from his era is easily walking the walk, he shouldn't be punished for AVBs mistakes more than he already is.
Thought AVB left him in points position very well.
He will be punished for his own mistakes, he picks the current team and hes got some squad to work with.
