Some are getting it on Arsemania:

>>
Saw a couple videos on AFTV about there not being a power shift. Spurs may not have titles but there definitely has been a power shift, some people are just in denial.

Last year, it was a miracle that we ended above them. This year, 17 points off them. We havent beaten them in the league since Pochettino took over. We've drawn all those league games at the Emirates, but theyve beaten us 2 out of 3 at their ground. We've been well and truly mugged off. Its embarrassing.
>>
So how's everybody feeling today?
>>
Deflated and bad

I stated on another thread, if Totts win on Friday they will be 1 point behind Chelsea and a whopping 20 ahead of us. We finished above them last year!!

Did I hear Wenger say that he doesn't start the season to finish above Tottenham, well he sure made it this season then.
>>
Can we let this thread sink please. It's masochism at this point.
>>
100% agree with this. Most United fans will deny this but how many players have chosen City ahead of United in the last few years? What about all the local youth players who are choosing City over United now? I realise that City have won trophies and United are far from out of the picture but it does show that players will choose a club in spite of what another club has in their trophy cabinet if they believe that there is a chance to win trophies elsewhere and if a club is becoming a major player.

P.S I realise that City's huge wages is a pretty big factor also but I'm focusing on the rivalry between us and the Goons.

Yaniiited fans make me laugh in their ageing, lob sided hole.

Reality - Better stadium, training facilities, higher attendance record and in London not shitty Manchester.

Next year probable 85k average attendances.

They really think they are Barca, RM and they are not.

Soon as we start matching their wages, players would come to us.
Judging by their turnover, they are bigger:whistle:

I don't get how the Ozil eyes offside chant is a meathead thing. Some people need to lighten up.

A mate of mine said we crossed the line at the Palace game when we were singing.

John Terry your mums a brass
Give her a quid and she'll lick your ass.

How anyone can not find that funny is beyond me.

It's not clever to make fun of the low paid...the poor biatch has to do piece-work, y'know :unsure::unsure:

For key players we certainly will - that's why we are tieing with NFL and building the monster.

Also, Most of their 'fans' would hop to the next cool thing given time and I bet never been to grimey Manchester.

Nothing fixed

Sorry but if you think we'd ever be able to match their wages for the forseeable future then I think you're gonna be disappointed. Even when we start generating revenue from the stadium and pay off the debt Levy will still want to run a tight ship - expect slow gradual increases in the wage structure but by then Utd's will have increased anyway.

If he did start crying we'd need to build another Ark!

As far as the song goes, I think it's brilliant, but then I don't get up in the morning looking for something to be angry about.

So there you go, on the matter of Mezut Ozil...the eyes have it :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I suppose you could look at our wage structure, as opposed to those of the money bags clubs, as blessing because players who will want to join us in the future won't be coming for the money as their priority, it will, seemingly, be for football reasons, hopefully.

It's like groundhog day with opposition fans. Every year "XYZ will spend big and regain their place at the top and Spurs will go back to 'where they belong'"

Dont these thick ****s recognize that we're legitimately a very good TEAM and that no matter how much any team spends unless they're as well coached as us we'll be in the conversation. It's crazy how in denial everyone is about our rise and it'll make it even sweeter when we start producing trophies on a regular basis.

Furthermore, how is it a viable excuse that Spurs are only where they are because Utd/City/Arse are poor? That's the most irrational pattern of thinking I've ever seen.

And this whole new rule that's quickly becoming cliche that "none of this counts unless Spurs win a trophy" is so shit. When L'pool finished 2nd in the Suarez season they were lauded as the best team since Ajax in the fucking 70s and they were leading by 8 points with 5 games left. That's what you call bottling. But us Spurs fans cant enjoy our rise because we haven't won a trophy? Fuck off

You are not understanding my point.

Not total wages but on individual deals.

We certainly will for the select players we deem worthy - we wil pay in the ball park.

We used to and we will again and will have the infrastructure to support it.

Capacity 90k from next year.

If you pay the top players the top wages, you have to bump everyone else up too. That's why United are paying Lingard £100,000 a week.

Things have changed a bit since we last paid the same wages as the top teams.
A new stadium is not going to help us pay a group of players around 200k a week.

A note of caution... after Liverpool failed to win the title, their biggest star left and Liverpool dropped back down.

This is what other fans see.

Is it right? Partially, though it's never the full picture. Even title winners sell players, but then the reasoning switched to "replaceable" due to being winners.

We will never get respect from rivals in the manner you're asking for until we win something. Liverpool have had a free pass because their success (CL) is still recent enough, but it's waning. All we have is one League cup in recent memory.

Until that changes, we are a decent also ran (in the eyes of others).

Looking around comment sections of Spurs related pieces these days is a chore. There are some Spurs fans debating what the article is actually saying (a very interesting one about Diers role in the Guardian yesterday, for instance), but 90% of other posts are fans of other teams daydreaming about how we'll sell anyone decent this summer and how they'll then be able to get the better of us. Just like last season.
