I'm not sure he's the answer to our DM problems. He could be, and that would be great, but it's not his natural position. He was initially a centre back and got converted to a right back for his country. The only clips I've seen of him in midfield we're playing for Manchester City against Newcastle last season. He seemed to be playing almost a playmaker role rather than a DM. I'm not sure if he had Hamann alongside side. Anyway, I don't want to judge whether he can play there on the basis of one game.

Assuming he'll play at either CB or RB for us, his short term roll will most likely to be covering Hutton and King. The only game I've seen him play so far was against Portsmouth and I thought he aquitted himself well. Hopefully that wasn't just because I was comparing him to BAEs performance at left back. Man that was frustrating. Why does he always try to be too cute with the ball and end up causing himself, and his team mates, more problems? Plus lets not go into his constant chips forward into no mans land...

I digress. In the long term I think Hutton will come back as first choice RB and Corluka's fitness (or Kings lack thereof) will mean he will establish himself as the first choice partner to Woodgate. In Bale, Corluka, Woodgate, Hutton and Gomes I think we have a very good back five :).

It was at citeh, but let's differentiate ourselves from other brands in the premiership market.

It has ALWAYS been! He came to City WITH that nickname, not while there!

It's his nickname from Croatia. So he shall be called CHARLIE, not bloody "Corky." :duh:

Very simple, Corluka should play at CB in place of King, when not fit or Right back if Kings fit and Huttons out.

Corluka is the 3rd choice cb and 2nd choice right back IMO.

The big question for me is, should we build the team around Modric?
