Sure, Berba has moments of magic

What would Keane be without his moments of magic?

Berbatov shows excellent control, balance and ball retention every time the boys see fit to give him the ball.

9/10 RK gets the ball and gives it away. Keane is consistantly average.

It's just my opinion - I often see Berba looking uninterested and not playing 'hard' so to speak - but when he wants to he is actually a fast and keen player. Robbie never stops running and whilst he has little hissy fits he is always passionate and always trying hard - these things show commitment. Robbie doesn't turn it off!

It's like Chimbonda, when he's very good he could get a vote or two, but when he gets those spells of utter uselessness he's more likely to win the lottery than get a vote from any real fan. Players should be always be giving 100% - I'm almost certain already that Woody will be getting my vote next season, the guy is brilliant!

Nobody is doubting that berbatov is the more talented. But there are facts you can't ignore, and Keane's record in the past two seasons is brilliant, wether Berbatov helped him or not (Keane also helped Berbatov with lots of his goals last year)

These awards are often about fans rewarding players who have really played above expectation and bust a gut for the team. Keane and Malbranque certainly did that for 3/4 of the season. berbatov didn't do much for the first few months, he has been brilliant for the latter half though.

If Robbie was really giving 100% do you think he would intentionally duck out of headers / bottle tackles?

I think you may have been slightly sucked in.

I reckon most voters in their hearts of hearts are thinking that Berbatov wont be here next season which made the decission slightly easier for them.

Intelligent and constructive, well done. Now off to bed, the adults are talking football.

 thats everything your argument is not. You just don't like Keane, you are ignoring everything he has achieved and criticising anyone who supports him as being a lemming. This does not qualify you as an adult, but as an idiot and a hypocrite to boot.

Your thread is nothing more a "Keane is Shit" thread, you don't actually want to discuss anything because your so obtuse.

Your nothing more than a half arsed wind up merchant. So maybe its you who needs to go to bed.

I have stated my reasons and all I have had in return is "well, he has scored lots of goals the last couple of seasons"

I would love to have the stat that says how many time that RK losing possession has lead to an opposition goal. I think that would be very interesting.

Just my point of view, all I am trying to do is educate the masses.

If Berba was asleep at the start, Keane is in a virtual coma at the moment!!

Berba will have 50 Spurs goals by the close of his second season which means he should have 100 by his fourth (lol at your getting older comment BTW). That is 2 seasons ahead of RKs 6 to get to his 100.

I am still struggling to understand the weird hero worship of such an average player.

At the moment, it's questionable whether or not he'll be here for a third, let alone a fourth. And your brilliantly calculating brain appears to have overlooked the possibility that, making the pretty big assumption that both will still be at Spurs in two years' time and have continued to score at their current rate, Keane will be on 150 when Berba hits his century.

What would Keane be without his moments of magic?

One might counter, where would Berbatov be without his?

An interesting statistic. How did you compute this?

I think its similar to the "9/10 of robbos kicks are inacurate" statistic:wink:

All I said was "At current rate it would take him 2 years less than it did RK." That is true.

It sounds to me that you have already come to terms with him leaving.

You have also made the assumption that Robbie Keane will be here next season.

Dont confuse Berbatovs basic skill level with "magic". If magic is the norm then it is no longer magic.

Without Magic Keane is a very average player, without magic Berbatov is a very, very good player.

Without Magic Keane is a very hard working player, without magic Berbatov is a very, very inconsistant, stroppy, luxury player.

fixed

 We all dream of a team of Steffan Frauds.

So you don't like Robbie Keane, so what? why does your dislike of him deserve a thread? Its pointless, your not trying to have a discussion you just want to keep repeating the same bollocks over and over.

Surely you have better things to do with your time than continue to make a Clint out of yourself.
