When are Tottenham going to sort out the stupid electronic ticket situation?

I hate people who turn up late at the turnstiles. They're always in my way.

Leave your turnip earlier is the general consensus, bigturnip. Of course you shouldn't have to.

Not sure why everyone keeps mentioning the pub, I wasn't in the pub, and I certainly wasn't abusive to anyone. I don't really understand the sentiment that it's my fault that Tottenham's ticket system doesn't work, it's worked for every single game I've been to in the last 18 years up to the West Ham game a few weeks ago.

It really is all your fault... ;-)

I fully agree with Nic's post above.
I worked on the Spurs turnstiles for three or four seasons and every game the turnstiles would open around 1.30pm for a 3pm kick-off and it was guranteed that the majority would show up from 2.30pm onwards as they were all at the pub pissing it up.
Some of them were right abusive ****s too, which used to really piss me off cos if they didn't ALL leave it until the last minute there would be such long queue...
Leave the pub ealirer and get to WHL earlier (and go pub again after the game). Simples. You get no sympathy from this ex-turnstile operator. ;-)

Why would anybody turn up for anyrhing 90mins before it starts? Especially these days with allocated seating.

i dont get how people are saying its his fault? he paid for a season ticket and the card does not work - that is not his fault!!

If he were to go to the ground earlier then he wouldnt miss the game - but the problem would still be there and he d still have to go to the ticket office to get it sorted! its not like the card is only faulty because he arrives at 2.50!!

As someone else mentioned, THFC should replace your card if that is the problem

After missing the first half an hour of the West Ham game and 20 minutes and 2 goals today because of these stupid electronic tickets that don't work I am getting fed up of the excuses the club keep making. These problems have been going on all season and it's about time the club sorted it out, we should have paper tickets back until all the niggles have been ironed out of the system.

What is the exact problem? Is your card being read and its saying you havent bought a ticket? Or can they not read your card at all?

Now it has happened twice there is clearly a problem somewhere in the system, I'd give them a bell or visit on a non-matchday and try to sort out the problem so it doesnt happen again.

I know there have been some issues with me and the club and the stadium is not setup to deal with them (which is why I was surprised they bothered to introduce them when it seemed we would be heading into the new stadium soon)

That's fine, s'long as they don't continually moan and then abuse the turnstile operator cos they're busting for a pee or been in the queue ages...

(this is just a general thing, not aimed at the cooly-named bigturnip who I was just being a wind-up merchant too).

I have to say that having bough about 15 tickets on the ticket exchange this season, after a couple of early hiccups that were my own fault, the system has generally been excellent.

Straight in, on the card. Although its a pain to go back and check 2 emails address for the seat numbers.

Just had a read of the first few posts, and I think your point is being missed somewhat.

It's not a case of you having gone to the turnstiles, and missing the start of the game bcos there was a such a big queue, it's bcos you went to the turnstiles, your e-ticket wasn't working, so you had to go round to the ticket office there and queue with others whose e-tickets weren't working.

That is a bit if a joke. They should have some contingency system, whereby if the e-ticket doesn't work, the issue can be sorted at the turnstiles.

So that's our last 2 games?

Are you entering on your membership card? They should replace that for you as it sounds like your card is screwed. Happened to my mates membership card at the West Ham game and the ticket office kept his membership card and said they would post a new one out within a couple of days.

That's what they did at the Stoke game, hopefully the new card arrives in time for the Arsenal game, but there was nothing wrong with the card, the bar code read fine, it just came up as ticket cancelled at the turnstile.

I reckon your card's screwed bigturnip. I've been to 15 or so home games this season and not had a problem, neither have the people i've been with.

This was my job at another stadium until very recently, I haven't actually been to WHL this season (away games only) so I'm not sure what system they're using... but where I work we have handheld ticket scanners at the gates so if your ticket fucks up we can scan the ticket and try and sort out the problem at the gate... however depending on the issue this might not be possible.

Do they have anything like this at WHL?

Yeh they scan it with like a thing on the self service checkouts at B&Q when you need to scan something huge...then they go "Ta" and let you in

Or not in Bigturnips case

I must admit, I was a bit of fool and turned up to game and met my mate in the pub he had to cards and a paper ticket. I never checked what seat I was sitting in. I thought were all together. Thank god for O2 and my sons blackberry.. He had to trawl through about 500 emails to find the seats!! It was obvious they were the only ones left to sit in!!

I will get my coat.. And a few peeps on here will piss themselves as they did not know how badly I cocked up!!

Therefore I AM ONE A FAN OF PAPER TICKETS ! CALL OLD FASHIONED
