I don't care about the fact that he scored 2 good goals the other day he is a liability. He does have talent before the hudd fans start having a go, but he has too many weaknesses to justify being a starter.

It is very much like having an out and out striker. The days of players who only contribute goals are finished at the highest level. Not one top club has a player that only scores goals because of the need for players to be able to contribute to the overall team's play.

If the Hudd can improve his weak areas he can be a top player I just feel that it is a physical rather than a mental issue and that it is just not in his makeup.

I hope I am wrong but I don't see him as a long-term feature in the starting 11.

There really is no point having Huddlestone in the team because all of his good work i.e setting up Malbranque is out done by his terrible work i.e letting Ingimarsson go for the goal.

Have JJ and KPB as CM and Huddlestone as an impact sub.

To get the best out of him we have to play with 3 in the midfield.
Exactly right. Either with three at the back or in a 4 5 1. Laughing my head off at the shock of some of our posters that 4 4 2 does not represent the whole world of coaching.
Of course it was wobbly with 3 at the back but then Reading are a shit or bust outfit who could not cope in the end with our ability out wide. Ramos if you are not a genius you are not willing to die wondering:razz:

Keep in mind he has just turned 21 before we start writing him off. By rights he should be used sparingly to build up his experience, whilst working on his weaknesses in training. His weaknesses are plain for all to see but not beyond improving, his ability, however, doesn't grow on trees and thats why its worth persisting with him.
