Completely agree. He is everything we are looking for in an AM, the one real thing we don't have, bar GKN. With Poch's man management and our team compared to Palace i think he could be devastating. Just because he didn't make it at United people have little respect for him, like Veron, Depay, Schniederlin etc are all rubbish. Sometimes it just doesn't work. But for me, this guy is exactly what we are crying out for, yet people are like. Nah, he's average, he's ok blah blah. In this market i'd pay 25m for him if that gets him and wouldn't look back.

The one thing we really need in an AM is a brain. The ability to keep your head while all-around you are shooting from 35 yards out.

That ain't Zaha. He offers more of the same as far as I can see: raw ability, athleticism, but very little in the way of true class or composure.

I massively agree with this as well and in an ideal world for me we would sign Isco or Coric and Zaha.

Isco and Coric for their David Silva like qualities, real intelligence in and around the final third, bring a certain calmness to our attack if that makes sense. Much like Bernado Silva who for me, is one of the best in the world at Monaco and unfortunately out of our league.

But back to the Zaha point, someone posted earlier why?! It's difficult to convince people because people have such varying opinions in football, look at Lamela and Dembele for us etc, you could have fans arguing about these players for days. I just feel currently, and give GKN time he may become closer to this next season, but we don't have real raw, blistering pace with skill.

Everytime we have played Palace he gives Rose one of this hardest games, because his dribbling ability at pace is right up there, only the likes of Hazard are probably quicker with the ball. And he completely gets the premier league, i just feel with the tools he has, he could really excel in our team. We currently use Sons pace which is quite average to good effect, but his ball control skills are way off Zaha, some of our breaks would have real penetration with this guy and his end product is a lot better than some people give him credit for, especially if you have a stirker in Kane playing off him.

I could be wrong, but for the price 25m, there isn't much out there you could get that is better, 24 years old, experienced in the premier league with a lot of attributes we require, it's not like there is a list of 8 or 9 other players in the other leagues. We spent half on GKN and that might turn out like a great buy. But he's way of Zaha currently.

For those that watch a lot more of the European leagues, who for 25m would you say would bring us a better AM option with than this guy? Considering his age, premier league experience, pace and skill.

Oh yeah forgot about him lol.

It was something Jordon wasn't it, although can't remember if Jordon or Parish were there when we got Bostock.
Jordan and he was not a happy bunny. If I remember rightly his wrath was mainly aimed at Bostock and his Dad but I don't think that he was impressed at Levy's valuation. That said, in hindsight it was as well that we didn't pay a fortune for him. I think that there might still be a thread on him on cpfc.org as they were very pissed off with him.

If the PSG rumours are true re Son, I would not be against selling Son and being in Zara. This boy has lovely technique and skill, in our side he would really scare defenders.

I am not sure I would replace Son with Zaha. Even though Son is inconsistent he offers us an option as a 3rd striker and offers more of a goal threat than Zaha.

I do like Zaha but Son is an important member of our squad due to lack of strikers and goal scorers in our squad. IMO if we sold Son and bought Zaha, we would then need to buy a another striker/goal scoring WF.

I'm not against Zaha if we can get him, but no way should we be getting rid of Son. He is a unique player, and if we persevere with him he'll get even better.

A donkey with moments of brilliance.

We don't need another extremely inconsistent player.
Never seen a player end up on his arse so much either with intent in unintentional.. Next time you see him play watch carefully 99.5% of times he gets the ball will end up with him on his backside.

Surprised these days there's is'unt a special stat for players falling over in games.

The problem isn't whether Zaha is good enough or not, It's whether he's "shiny" or not for some of our fans. We need to forget about fancy names.

In a realistic world where we take everything about the club, new stadium and squad balance into account, Zaha in January would be a really good coup for us.

He isn't the best at certain things, but he does have pace and dribbling ability which will add a new dimension to our game if he can bed into the squad quickly. Teams sit back and wait to play on the break against us and if we have Zaha at our disposal he would help break these stubborn teams down. I don't think he would create as much as say Isco by any means, but he does offer other attacking aspects that could help breakdown defenses and allow our more creative players/Striker space to receive the ball and turn it into something.

Too many times we overlook the EPL experience as well, this kid cut his teeth in this league and that's what we need right now. Not someone who needs a year to acclimatize. If you ask me he's worth the punt at 25 million.

I'd swap sissolo for him in a heart beat. Other than that he lacks the end product of a game changing signing.
