Maybe not a popular opinion but I actually think we do need another dm
Wanyama wasn't at his best last season (might be temporary don't know)
And here's the unpopular bit dier needs to concentrate on being a centre half because he just hasn't got it at cm :(

Poor positioning poor distribution and poor under pressure
He looked great in that first season there but since then in my honest opinion he has been average at best in fact i'd say he looked like a centre half having a go at cm.

This guy looks to have a incredible engine with better distribution than both dier and Wanyama and if I had the chance i'd nut Henderson too can't abide him :cautious:

He is exactly the sort of player we need.

No nonsense tough unbelievable stamina his passing was spot on for Colombia he won a lot of ball moved the ball quickly and forward I thought, Barrios Sanchez Mina for Colombia were warriors.

Yes he was aggressive he never play acted or dived just tough yes he was lucky to stay on the field with that Henderson incident

When we already have Wanyama and Dier as midfield destroyers and Foyth who I think could be very decent in that role, I'd rather put the 20m (or whatever Barrios would cost) towards a progressive passer and playmaker type of CM. That, IMO, is 'exactly the type of player we need'. We could even save the 20m and see if Onomah can step up.

I really like him but not certain about his passing. Has the engine of Kante but not quite the intelligence and I'm not sure how much of that can be taught by Poch.

God I love Kante. I'd almost be happier throwing 70 million at the scum for him over Martial if it wasn't for the fact they wouldn't sell to us, and we are not overly desperate for a DM. Really wish we had gone all in for him when he left Leicester.

This just reminds me of the Wanyama thread before we signed him

Oh noooo don't sign him, he's a walking red card, he's awful, i saw it with my own eyes :ROFLMAO:

Yeah but we also didn't have Wanyama in the squad then... now we do... do we need this guy?

Just watched a re run of the game.

He was shit.

I don't like the look of him. Looked busy, but also seemed like a bit of a shithouse.

Kind of player West Ham would sign, and then would go on strike after one good season. Just an instinct, rather than anything else.

#FOXenRusia| Tottenham would pay the Colombian's termination clause and the leaders would not put any obstacles to the operation.

Grealish is twice the player.
200% this, Barrios is a limited version of Palacios. Both Dier and a fit Wanyama are miles better in almost every way bar possibly pace. If one of them was out and we were desperate I could see the need but Wanyama with a full preseason and some game time will be back to his imperious best. Last season was a write off with his injury.

I think he's comparing Grealish to Quintero.
