I don't mean to hijack the thread but what tragic events happened to Gomes and Zokora?

I don't understand, why would they kill the kid after receiving the ransom? i mean i can kind of understand why the ywould abduct him if i were an amoral **** that specialised in kidknapping, but why kill him when you have the money?? if i was palacios i would use every penny of my money to hunt down those fucktards and make them suffer before i personally killed each oand every one of them

As devastating as this news is, Wilson and his family basically knew that they would never see their brother again afer the ransom had been paid and he wasn't returned. That's the way it is. Unfortunately, as fortworthspurs says, gangs are rampant in this part of the world and local governments just don't have the ability to curb them as too many government officials at all levels (police, army, judges, ministers etc) are involved. Make no mistake, crime in Central America is big, big business and in most cases it starts from the top.
But there again it does to in developed countries, judging by the recent bank scandals where weak governments have just thrown billions of tax payers pounds/euros/dollars away to brush the problem under the carpet while the real culprits are still in their jobs.

I sympathize for Wilson and his family and hope that they've made the necessary adjustments to their lives in order to avoid situations like this in the future

On a personal note, Wilson is my player of the year, 2008/2009, even if he did come in as a late Xmas present, as his drive and tenacity has been one of the main reasons our beloved team has managed to get where we now are in the league.

Very sad news, At the very least Wilson and his family now might have some kind of closure and can begin the greiving process.

How Wilson has managed to play so well with the uncertantity surrounding his brother is truly astounding.

I would imagine they killed him as he had seen who they were and not killing him would of increased their chances of getting caught - badguy 101

my best wishes go out to the Palacios family cant really imagine what they must be going trough and what they have been through since he was taken. like so many others have said just unbelievable that this stuff still happens today.

This is a terrible and very sad news.

Although I believe that it did not come as a big surprise to Wilson and his family and maybe they were prepared for this worst possible outcome from the long and sad ordeal.

I, together with all the Maltese Spurs fans, would like to express our deepest condolences to Wilson and his family at this moment of sorrow.

Our sympathies and prayers are with them. May God grant him eternal peace.

Horrific news.
Wilson is amazing for being able to perform whilst he had this going on.
I hope somehow he and his family can find justice and peace.
