I know this might sound a bit stange but it could be a relief to the Palacios family to get some closure on the matter. Its been going on now for some time and I feel that the family knew deep down that he was gone but as we all do, you just clutch at any available straw.

I think with time to back home to put the situation to bed and also get his comforts from hame Palacios will be a force to reckon with next season, remember we've seen him play and are amazed with him since he came to the PL but all this time he's kind of played handicaped with this on his mind and he must have had it on his mind every single day!!

I know how he feels I lost a brother who went to SA to work and went missing and was never found, no one can tell us what happened to him and that was in 1988 and because we don't know if he's dead or alive we still dream that he will call or someone will spot him, my dad says he wishes that he could get that call to say they found his remains so he could say his goodbye. Its hard and I think closure would make it so much better. Lets just hope thats what the Palacios family gets and it helps them.

Love goes out to the Palacios family

That is harsh, Doc. I can only guess how bad that feels, I mean, we lost a dog once and that was bad enough so I can't imagine what it's when it's another human being, especially a brother.

Love to you and yours too, bud.

Thoughts are with Wilson and his family.

How he sat for 6 hours because he didn't want to wake Harry says so much about the guy.

All the best to Wilson and his family.

He seems an incredibly strong human being to have been able to continue playing while knowing his brother had been kidknapped, and a very well mannered person too waiting for Harry to wake at 7am before telling him he needed to go to his family.

Dr Know I am so sorry for your dreadful experience and the loss that is on your shoulders.

My brother went missing - he was at Oxford and couldn't cope. I got a phone call from the Dean of his college to tell me - I then had to tell my parents, family etc. We had no idea where he was or what had happened. Obviously we all worried that he had killed himself and it was with us all the time as we tried to find him and to get on with our lives. About two years later he phoned my mum and asked if he could come home. We were so ecstatic to see him and slowly he got to grips with life again.

About two days after he returned the police turned up at my mum's house and my other brother answered the door. They had come to report that my missing brother had died. Apparently a rough sleeper had passed away and he had my brother's passport on him. The police were shocked but very relieved when they were able to see my missing brother. Had my brother not returned home, we would have thought he was dead and then mum would have had to go and identify a body of someone else.

It's a good job we don't know of the awful things that lie in wait for us ...

Poor Wilson and his family. He's had a living hell for so long.

Hugs to Dr Know too. You are still living in your own hell. :-(

Thanks guys
Knowing what Wilson is going through we need to give him that support when he comes back because as much as having closure he will also loose that hope he carried and I'm sure he still did have some. It could well be that his game may suffer some before we see the real him again but no doubt when we do he will be amazing. We need to flood the club with e-mails and cards of support, let him know we are all one with him in this difficult time and we will be there for him to see it through.

Horrible and tragic thing for him and his family to go through, just makes no sense that they would pay the ransom and then the kidnappers not release him, that is just cruel beyond belief.

At least the family can lay him to rest now, must be even worse not knowing.
