Thats only because eriksen if we being brutality honest.

I like Ward-Prowse but he was poor at the U20 world cup a year and so ago.

Funny that he wasn't the only one and these players didn't have a great tournament and look where they are
Barkley - playing for everton and england
Ward-Prowse - playing for southampton and England U21's
Kane - playing for our first team
Stones - playing for Everton's first team
Dier - playing for our first team
Pritchard - playing for Brentford

Pritchard for me was one of the better players and its incredible that he was the one who ended the worst in that list. As for the rest, bar Barkley the rest had a poor tournament and yet got more opportunities. Though some of the selections were very poor

In his last international tournament he was voted the 3rd best player

More like a winter/summer mission;

Ings in for Lennon
Reid in for Kaboul
Rodriguez in for Paulinho
Milner (tough ask) in for Capoue/Dembele

Also lose Naughton, Adebayor and possibly Vlad if Velo or Dier are ready.

That would perhaps leave enough from incoming fees to go after a morgan or Mccarthy type quality player and we'd more or less break even. Perhaps some wage issues still but for me that would be a sensible 2 windows and strengthen us all over.

I think we should accept any sensible offer for any of the following, to raise funds for summer purchases, get their wages off the bill but more importantly to show that those who dont buy into the Poch philosophy will be out the door: -

Paulinho, Benny, Ade, Kabs, Vlad, Naughton, Lennon, Capoue, Bobby. If we could shift that lot i reckon we'd save £500k a week in wages which is pretty eye-watering!
Im excited by what Ive see of the recent academy prospects (Kane, Nabil,Velkjovic, Carrol and Pritchard) so lets give them a chance in pre-season to show what they can do before looking to add a few high quality names. Sadly, i cant see DL opening the cheque-book this window mainly as there are quality players out of contract in the summer so i could see us signing pre-contract deals for the summer with the likes of Reid and Ings and as a result, i cant see us making Top 4 but id settle for a cup victory and Top-6 in what was always going to be a transition season (like most in my lifetime!)

Di Marzio is reporting Muriel to Sampdoria for 10m Euros + 2m in bonuses. That's a steal for him. He's going to be massive one day. It's just another deal I wish we were interested in.

I'm of the opinion now that we shouldn't really get anyone in now, and concentrate on shifting out a couple this window, and a few more in the summer. Naughton, Kaboul, Paulinho, Soldado, Lennon and Adebayor.

If we can shift the majority of these over two windows it will leave space in the squad to reconstruct.

I'd bring back Pritchard and Carroll and give them the same chances Kane and Bentaleb have been given.

I'd then sign two frees - Reid from Spammers as the stopper to compete with Fazio. And Ings from Burnley to push and back up Kane.

I think that leaves the squad nicely balanced, and I woud put all the transfer fee money towards one special player - a wide forward or forward with real match winning ability.

I haven't seen him play but read he's like Ronaldo (old one). Have you seen him play? Whats he like? For one of the most promising strikers in world football, his goal record doesn't suggest much. And he's 23 which (not saying he won't make it or he's old) isn't as impressive as others we've seen at that age. i.e. Rooney

Udinese have some of the best scouts in Europe (imo). Muriel is very much in the bulldog type striker mold. He is good on the ball and plays in his teammates well. He has a bit of pace to him and good vision. He was really exciting to watch last year with Pereyra besides him. I would have either of them in the team. He hasn't had the opportunities in the squad this year, and I haven't watched as much. I'm all too sure why he is being shown out, but he is.

If he's one of the most promising strikers in world football, God knows what Kane is.

Wages, plus I'd imagine he sees himself at cl regular club and there's not really a sell on fee so no real value in financial terms

This window I would probably sign Nigel de Jong, Danny Ings and do an honest try for Konoplyanka or even better, Kevin Mirallas. De Jong, Ings and Konoplyanka all have contracts that end in summer and should be very cheap. And then we aim for James McCarthy or Schneiderlin in the summer.

A couple of seasons back he looked great and as if he was really going to step up, but last season he had a lot of injury problems and when he was finally back seemed to struggle. I haven't seen anything of him this season but he has not played much and I guess it's either more injury problems or he's still struggling to get back to his best form
