I don’t really see us splashing the cash on an attacker in Jan unless we sell one or get a major injury. Maybe a youngster but beyond that I don’t see it.Yeah he’s definitely a summer signing.

Personally I’m not entirely convinced by him as a WF option. He hasn’t played much this season but when he has he’s been playing LWB which I think suits him better. If we are interested I’d prefer it if we had an eye on fully converting him to a FB. But I feel like that’s a stretch and think it’s more likely he’d be another young forward option. I’d take Nusa any day tho IF it was a choice between the two.Got a bit of leverage as Juventus are in for Højbjerg reportedly. Would mean we’d have to have someone lined up to replace him too unless we think Bentancur, Skipp and Maddison can hold us together during AFCON?
On Iling-Junior, he appears to be super versatile so would be able to play in forward positions but is trusted up to a point with defensive work as a wing back. Does seem likely it would be him or Nusa.
Agreed. Trix said likely Richie moves on though I think. So who knows! We definitely need an elite wingerI don’t really see us splashing the cash on an attacker in Jan unless we sell one or get a major injury. Maybe a youngster but beyond that I don’t see it.
The Guardian understands that Spurs passed on a player in a specific position this summer after getting the impression he was more driven by getting away from his old club. They signed someone else who Postecoglou could tell was desperate to join.
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere or if this is the wrong thread (couldn't think of another one that might apply), but I thought this quote from today's Guardian article was interesting:
Of our summer signings (Vicario, Johnson, Van de Ven, Maddison, Veliz, Phillips and Solomon), the only one I can think it could be is Vicario? Maybe Spurs got a feeling Raya just wanted to get away from Brentford?

Don't even think he's been linked, I just like him and think he'd be a great fit. He's Turkish, so until I see him with the shirt or at Hotspur Way, I'll assume it's a fake link
Definitely need another player capable of playing across the entire forward line. Perisic is likely going to move to Split and, as you said, Son will be a huge miss.I think we can survive just about without Bissouma and Sarr at the ACN however Son is going to be a massive problem.
I think we need at least one wing forward if we are going to push Johnson into the middle.
I was thinking Sancho loan with option if we can pull it off but all this talk about the right mental attitude might rule him out now
Sancho on crazy wages too, like 350k per week.I think we can survive just about without Bissouma and Sarr at the ACN however Son is going to be a massive problem.

Could also be a CB given there seemed to be unexpected delays in that signing before finally going to vdvYep i'd say almost certainly Raya and Vicario.
Yeah I wondered that too. I was thinking Fati and Johnson too perhaps.Could also be a CB given there seemed to be unexpected delays in that signing before finally going to vdv
Oh yeah thst would fit tooYeah I wondered that too. I was thinking Fati and Johnson too perhaps.
Split it with united if they are desperate to move him outSancho on crazy wages too, like 350k per week.
If we moved for Sancho it’d have to be a loan with no obligation to buy.Split it with united if they are desperate to move him out
Surely you mean ‘ no obligation to buy?’If we moved for Sancho it’d have to be a loan with no option to buy.
We’d split the wages and assess if he’d be a fit for us.
Yes, I do.Surely you mean ‘ no obligation to buy?’
