Basically the Colombian Michail Antonio, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Zapata is a much better striker though and more than just a big unit , good in the air and decent pace still, his 5 yrs with atalanta he has scored just in the league 62 goals in 111 games which is top draw just a tad over a goal every other game. His onctract ends in 2023 only downside from a club / Levy prospective is age as he is 30 and will be 31 in april 2022.

Something in our favour at the moment although It seems Conte has been given some certainty of funds, the players being links are top top drawer but also contracts ending i.e. frees or some very soon to be in the final years of their contract and not willing to commit where they are and Paratrici speciality in this arena also , maybe the funds are not the scale of City, Chavs etc but very gettable top top players that Conte also wants, therefore we can keep conte happy without spending City / Chav style but still get the players he wants .. also using Conte knowledge of Inter players and inters plight together with Fabios nouse to bring some Inter players for very resonable prices

From Potential names very recently being linked or spoken about

Kessie 23 yrs - Free in summer (Midfield)
Dusan 23 yrs - contract ending 2023, unwilling to renew (Striker)
Skrinar 26 yrs - contract ends 2023 (DEF)
Sensi 26 yrs - contract ends 2023 (as long as no injury issues going forth) (MID)
Rommanogli 23yrs (AC Milan) - Free next year and not willing to sign new contract currently (DEF)

Also fits the area we need to tackle, Striker, Beef Mid / Creativity and of course in DEF

PS ive not taken into the account of home grown players and / or shifting some existing ones to take place of non homegrown players

Christ, we are not getting Barella or Chiesa. They are both probably £100m players after their performances over the last year.

This ? ? ? ... plus Juve will never allow Chiesa to go, defo wont happen..... unless its a really stupidly extremely high bid which lets be realistic wont happen right now anyway

Maybe Conte might fancy Eriksen again????

Seems he could be allowed to play in England with the ICD fitted

Great to have an optimistic tone at the club again, surely even Levy cannot screw Cont over.
Provided he is backed than we ultimately need and have done for more years than we all can count another decent CH and another striker.
Obviously we will be linked with DV up front and to be honest he does look like a star in the making. Pay the money and get him, Kane aint getting any younger.
We will obviously be linked with former Conte players, so either Skriniar or Devrij at CH.
After that and seeing as Levy remains a presence, then end of contract players/cheap value for money will also be on the table. Multiple mentions of Kessie on here, only seen him once, think it was against Pool and he had a mare that night, hopefully not a sign of things to come if he does join. Has Brozovic still got the legs for the premier league, he has played some amount of hard running games in his career.
If Ndombele or Lol Celso(better than Lo so so) do not become more consistent and hard working they have no chance under Conte, will be interesting to see how they fair out, but it has to be last chance saloon, even for their fan boys, if they cannot do it under Conte then there can be no more excuses/chances.
Also has to be last chance saloon for likes of Ali and Winks, one last chance to regain what has been so long lost, no excuses again if they cannot perform.

He will go to Ajax, it’s less stressful there. If he has his contract terminated, I would by happy for us to have him back

Thanks for the info. Not doubting it but wouldn’t the Serbian nation prefer him to play for a European giant like Juventus instead of us?
Let’s face it we are in the conference league and no guarantee of CL. I know the Premier League is bigger but we’re nowhere near as glamorous as Juve.

It's a strange time in football; feels like all the money in the PL has created a tipping point.

Basically we have more money than Juve and have had for a few seasons now.

Plus, as you say, the PL is a bigger league and our infrastructure is better. And we're based in London.

Juve have the trophies and history, but that can only get you so far because the game is played in the here and now.

Individual players may have their own ideas of course, but if you look at the facts, PL clubs are becoming more and more powerful in the football industry.

I could see him going to Newcastle to be honest, as they'd probably pay over the odds in wages to get some big names in.

And fair play to them (and him), because I'm sure he can still do a great job.

It’s great to feel the optimism flowing again. This feels different to when Jose came in (serial winner, mentality, blah blah blah), because Conte is relevant. And in a huge way.

Outside of the very elite, I think we will be able to attract some amazing players now. Especially those coming from Serie A.

For example, if we could persuade Inter to sell, then I think Barella would come. Heck, if Juve were open to selling Chiesa, I think we could put a proposal together to tempt him - although that would probably be a summer move and largely hinge on everything going perfectly for the rest of the season and securing top 4.

There’s no reason now why we can’t have a January window of Vlahovic, de Vrij and Kessie pre-contract for summer.

The ideal scenario would see him sign a contract extension, knuckle down and work hard, and get back to the form he's shown over the last 5 seasons.

I've lost respect for him as well, but that doesn't mean he can't redeem himself.

If he doesn't want to sign a new contract then I guess we need to get shot of him, either in Jan or the summer, depending on how well he's applying himself.

I think he's shown in the past that he's not motivated by money. Can't see him being interested in Newcastle at all, and I'm not sure returning to the pace and intensity of the Premier League is a good idea for him now.

The ideal scenario for me is we get a load of money for him in Jan and replace him with Vlahovic and a back up

All elements of the above are pretty fanciful though!

We should have sold in the summer, and in all probability that will end up being a 50m (or so) mistake

Yeah get rid, it’ll never be the same. 100m invested in Vlahovic, Kessie and a de Vrij type makes us a much better team under Conte.

Personally I hope we get top 4, he's convinved to stay, signs a new deal and ends his career here. A motivated Kane is one of the best players in the world and I want the best players in the world playing for Spurs.

Mate some on here don't like definitive statements like that which completely shoot down something potentially happening.
Btw I agree with you but another poster yesterday was called out for saying something similar about Conte joining so just a headups you may get the same
