We need to address the left side of defence. A left footed CB would be a good start and then another LB or LWB. I'm still not completely sold on Reguilon and the Sessegnon saga is becoming boring. As for Davies, he's just not up to it at this level.

Marc-Oliver Kempf?

From what I've seen of him he looks a sexy footballer. Left footed CB. 26. Relatively affordable.

I think the first player we need in is Giorgio Chiellini. A born winner and an amazing centre back. He would be able to organise and teach the defenders we already have he would also bring a much needed winning mentality to the team and the dressing room.

Interesting shout, but he's been at Juve 17 years. Would be shocked if he doesn't just see it out there

Never gonna happen unless there's a xmas miracle, but Bastoni at Inter Milan is a left footed CB. Surprise surprise, he's gonna fit right into Conte's system

agree with this. At his age, not sure if he can handle the pace and physicality of the PL.
Same said about thiago Silva but quality players can play anywhere provided they are in the right system.
Not saying he's a realistic signing but wouldn't rule out someone of that type coming in. Another naybet / David's signing could do wonders for us.

If I’m not mistaken, I think Chiellini has already missed a few games this season through injury. It’s going to be even more difficult for him in the PL. At his age, recovery time would be longer than norm.

If not Chiellini, somebody of his ilk, maybe Sergio Ramos. A serial winner well versed in the dark arts.

At this stage I would rather sign Inter's De Vrij than Chiellini

De Vrij is pretty experienced, but probably still has 4/5 good years left in him.

Another one with a poor injury record. I read somewhere that PSG might want to consider cancelling his contract as he hasn’t recovered from injury since joining the French club .

Fabrizio Romano is on Last Word on Spurs at 1:30 today for those of you so inclined…

That podcast makes my ears bleed, it’s really amateur. It’s like your uncle talking about Spurs at a bbq and he only watches match of the day.

It's a gamble and of course one can be lucky and cope with the pace of the Premier League, but Chilleni is not the answer. Davids and Naybet played in a simpler time, they wouldn't cope with today's high pressure, fast paced tempo

I think there will be a few surprise sales, but we have to back Conte fully.

I can see Moura, PEH, and Lo Celso being sold.

As far as I'm concerned, no one is untouchable in the squad.

I agree. Also as we sit here today we can say x and y positions need sorting out but that may change between now and January. Those players you mention won’t be sold in January though we need more attackers not less. Although obviously my 4 year bugbear of lack of central midfield quality will still be there.

Based on tonight’s performance and the season so far and how Conte wants to set-up I would say we need:
2 new CB’s - Supporting Romero, although I have some hope Conte can coach Davinson Sanchez
Righ Wing Back - Neither Royal or Doherty are good enough. No end product, and Royal isn’t even very good in going forward. He has passion and energy, but so far his attacking and defensive skills are poor.
2 CM - Hojbjerg I am still not sure what he is good at except he has a winning mentality and a grinder, bu good enough for a Top 4 side. I cant see it. Skipp young and can learn..
Forward - We desperately need a top class alternative to Kane. Not a back-up, but actually someone that can start and potentially push Kane to the bench if he doesnt start to improve.

He has a lot of work to do going forward Mr Conte… The only world class we have is a world class coach. Son and Harry are typically up there, but hasn’t showed it so far this season and neither has Romero or Ndombele.
Hmm. Someone didn't watch the game last night did they.
