Replacing Bale and Vinicius with Gil was insanity.

Pure negligence.

the galling thing is also, we gave them lamela - whilst he was limited, was fully spurs & good to have off the bench cos his work rate & fieriness rubbed on the others.

Here's my, ahem, left field solution of the day.

We're looking for a left footed centre back, uncompromising but decent on the ball and athletic. He's home grown and not ancient.

He's not perfect as he can be a bit clumsy but in a back three it's less of a problem. The obvious issue is cost as they'd want a fortune. What do you think?

Hell no!!!
I've watched him slot to see what the hype is and he is a lazy defender who is meant to have pace but instead sits on the edge of his box and for his height he doesn't dominate opposition defenders.

Yes he is left footed but the player doesn't have to be left footed to play on the left. King, Virgil, JT, Maguire, Vidic, Rudiger all right foot players to name a few past and present.

We need someone who is better than what we got(excluding Romero) maybe even 2 defenders to improve us.

Dier and Davies will let us down eventually in our defence. History has proved it!!!!

curlacious

Don’t look at me. I’m irrelevant.

cos he's a bit shit & is a championship player at best. Not been impressed with him, and seems like a right arrogant wanker.
Fair enough. Interested to see if your view changes after tomorrow’s game.

If a few of the underperforming players can be moved on either in January or the summer I really think John McGinn could be an excellent signing and ideal in Conte’s system.

I was at Hampden for Scotlan’s win over Denmark (I wore a kilt and an Eriksen Denmark shirt, got a wave from Christian at trackside!). McGinn was excellent, as he has been on several occasions for the National side as well as for Villa. Terrific work rate, range of passing, strong and will pitch in with some goals - including the occasional long-range howitzer. I think he’s seriously underrated in some quarters.
I dickride McGinn, oh and he's good at football

He was over 6 foot, playing against children. He was also on 25k a week when everyone else was on way less than 500. He also used to go into london nightclubs saying"do you know who I am?" when frankly even his family barely knew him. I wouldn't spend £2.50 on him
We would barely have half a team to select if we maligned players based on this type of behaviour.

And just for the record, I thought this was a scouting potential transfers thread. I know fuck all about Solanke and don't watch the championship. So the idea was to gain insight as to whether he is any good, or could take the step up. We haven't even been linked with him.

However, in saying all of this, to tip our noses at players who are banging in goals in the champ is dumb as fuck and we could miss out on some great options. Not everyone in the squad can be a world beater.

Fiorentina signing Ikone from Lille.

Vlahovic replacement.

In terms of money yes, that’s a decent outlay for Fiorentina. However, ikone is in no way a striker. Nicolas Gonzalez, their record signing, can play there though. Either way it’s good news in terms of Vlahovic possibly leaving in January.

Should offer Brighton Doherty and Rodon for Lamptey who is back to full fitness and whose final ball is better than Emerson
