One could mistake Keown with a cheeky version of Stefan Kuntz for that comment

Good result against a poor side.
Thought Dele, Bale, Sonny and Lucas did well in the first half. All looked a pretty professional job at HT. 2nd half not so good. and reminded us all, as if we needed it, how awful we are defensively.

But job done. And should make it a relatively straight forward 2nd leg.

As soon as Doherty takes off that 20kg gym vest he clearly carries he might be able to run

If there's one footballer on planet Earth I wouldn't trust to control a ball 20 yards from goal under the slightest bit of pressure...

Well at least we looked alright going forward again and Carlos' goal puts the tie to bed.

Easy now..

Must be frustrating to either pass to Sissoko and pray he doesn't make a panic error or pass around him and waste possession in the process

I swear half our problems would be solved if the club starting dishing out fines for passes back towards our own goal.

People need to be patient. I'm actually really excited at how much better we're going to be next season with Winks and Sissoko playing no part in our midfield.

But then our players won't know where to pass too....

Not sure how anyone can be unhappy with that. When you're 3 up the opposition will always throw more at you. 4-1 away win is great. They got through a tough group.

However, I can't disagree with the Sissoko bashing. Hes genuinely one of the worst players on the ball you'll see. I've said it before, but its honestly like the ball is a Toblerone to him.

Ps - our pressing intensity first half was fantastic. Bale was fantastic. Dele played really well too.

We've rested our 2 CM's and Skipp's back next season, GLC needs to fin in here somewhere as well.
If the budget is tight then we will be absolutely fine with Tanguy, PEH, Skipp, GLC and Harvey White in midfield. Spunk it all on the defence Levy.

He's 22 and it's his 1st season in the toughest league on Earth.

You'd think he'd get cut a little slack really...

He needed to be blooded gradually, instead out of necessity we have played him far too much during a pretty tough period and understandably he has struggled at times

The team really does make hard work of things sissoko had a shaky second half pretending to be Ndombele, but overall a win is a win let's take this into Sundays game.

Kane wanting and being a guaranteed starter is a real hindrance to us getting in another striker of the required level.
