Just need the next chance to fall to Kane. That finishing from Lingard, Stones and Sterling was woeful.

Rashford to come on and win it?

Yes there is a bit of gung-ho to this team, I'm not sure how wise it is though ultimately.

We've created chances, very good ones, and it was a bright start, but I do not like this formation. It's going as expected for me. Most people will say 'wow this is good, look how positive we are being', but I think it's massively unbalanced and against any good team this set up would get ruined. With the ball we've got the three centre backs and Henderson picking it up, and everyone else has run off way upfield. Those back players look nervous anyway, if they get pressed they're shitting their pants, and we're lucky that the Tunisia seemingly cant defend basic long straight balls over the top. Then without the ball we're very open and don't have the most diligent of pressers nor shape.

You cant just play with four dropping deep, four running forward, and then two on the flanks. It's like we're purposely abandoning the centre of the park.

Having said that we've barbecued some wonderful chances that have fallen in our lap, and this game should be out of sight. You have to assume more will come our way, they're not great at the back, lets hope someone sticks one (or two) away......

Also getting less and less enjoyable by the second due to the gamesmanship and this ref letting all sorts go in Tunisia's favour. We need to keep our heads, get the ball down, and keep playing.

Things to expect from England:

Walker costing us a goal
Sterling missing a sitter
Kane scores
Stones costing us a goal

Were only waiting on stones. hopefully Walker has got it out of his system, but he is still an idiot.

After being stupid and giving away a penalty he decides to run the length of the pitch to get a goal back.... Someone needs to have a word, shades of Terry against Germany.

Maguire concerns me, he doesn't look too comfortable in possession.

poorly taken chances and some tom fuckery at the back...

So glad Walker's no longer at spurs (purely because of the stick he'll get)

I've read (but not seen it confirmed) that the light for a VAR review of the rugby tackle on Kane came on, and was waved off by the referee. If that's true it's not VAR per se, but rather that the ref can overrule a system that is designed to rectify clear and obvious errors, that is to blame.

For the pen we should have had, Kane should have been running to the ref to say he’s been fouled. He does that and he might get it reviewed. Got to play the game sometimes.

That barge on Kane raises serious questions on how VAR is being applied. As clear and obvious a penalty as you’ll ever see. Baffling

Yep. Exactly. The focus comes back to the referee. Rightly.

If that’s true then that is horrendous.
