I'd rather have Berbatov back than Campbell. Let's put it that way.

A poll would be interesting.

Agreed.

But I think that there seems to be three schools of thought. So, the poll should be a three way choice option :

a) Absolutely not

b) Yes, no questions asked

c) Yes, on condition that he makes a statement regretting leaving us.

Now then who is going to launch it? Any volounteers?

It is a tough one. It most certainly would be the end of Bent. I love Pav, but if Berba came back, not that he will, but he would probably end up leaving as well, unless Harry could guarantee him a certain amount of games. Defoe might not be happy either.

I'm sure Keane would though, and it would be great for our team to have a player of such class at the club. We already have one, Luka Modric. It would almost complete the puzzle for me. The only thing we are lacking at the moment is goals. We know Berba can produce moments of magic to score and set them up. Think of the creativity we would have in a front four of Keane, Lennon, Modric and Berbatov.

A few are saying that it would disrupt the settled team we have now? How? IF, and it is a massive if, its not even an if, its more of an imagine if, he came back, it would happen in the summer. Plenty of time to re-settle, is it not?

I am not denying that he is an extremely gifted player and was an excellent player for Spurs but I still would not take him back.
We are certainly less talented up front without him but his attitude jeopardises good team spirit.
I feel that we now have a team pulling together in the same direction.
He is selfish, disinterested and lazy and unfortunately theses traits have a way of spreading like a virus among our far less talented players.
There are plenty of other very good players out there who would be very happy to play for Spurs and improve our team immensely,Harrys job is to find them.

I tried to rep you but it doesn't seem to be working; I'll try again later. Agree with you 100%,

46 goals in two seasons and almost £20 million profit... he did pretty good for us first time around....

... so sell Bent for say £12m and buy Berbatov back for say £17M and we would truly be laughing.

Mind you we'd need the Europa Cup to keep Keane Berbatov Defoe and Pav busy. What a strikeforce!

Why is this even a conversation. He would never rejoin us in a million years. He will go to Italy if anywhere.

Maybe if we sent Berba the film The Notebook and a clip of him hugging Keane after our Carling Cup Final win, he'd realise his one true soulmate is here and would then come back?

No, wouldn't want him back. Attitude, attitude, attitude.

Let him go to Italy or Spain for 50-70% of what Utd paid for him. Would be good to see them make a big loss on him, plus would limit any damage he could (possibly) do to us if he remained in the Prem league with another club, if / when he did have a cracking game. No doubt he is capable of genius, but definitely not every game, and as he gets older I think his attitude and poor work rate will reduce his "genius to games" ratio.

Would rather have a player with 70% of his ability, but delivers to that level week-in / week-out, works for the team and is good for morale / spirit.

With tevez basically admiting he will be leaving at the end of season, surely this can be ruled out even more!

Would I want us to by a player who we paid hansomely, that went on strike because he wanted to move clubs, a player who IMO single handedly wrecked our start to the season due to his disruptive behavior, and ultimately cost Ramos and Poyet their jobs.

No thanks, I only want players who are proud to wear the shirt.

And regardless, he would never come back to us now, knowing that the majority of spurs fans dispise him for the way he left.

I thought he had tended to be first choice alongside Rooney when fit but against Fulham last night he was on the bench and Ronaldo partnered Rooney up front.

He really doesn't seem in favour up there!
