Think it was Inter Milan, it was baking that day.
That's it. I remember the sunshine, felt like a proper carnival atmosphere (especially after a couple of beers).

From the late 60s through to the 80s it was bad inside and particularly outside grounds. It is rarely a concern nowdays. I dont know if you are familiar with the late 70s films Warriors? That was what it felt like travelling around London on the tube back.in the day. Say I was going to QPR you might bump into West Ham, Millwall or Chelsea nutcases. Or Manchester United, Leeds or Liverpool if they were in town. This would be repeated on my journey back to the east end to get my train back to Southend in Essex. A few times. A few times West Ham supporters were waiting for me/us at Liverpool Street or if I.went home via Fenchurch Street that might be ructions all the way back Southend. Great days!My perception from a person who's living abroad is that football in England was way more violent back in the days than it is today. Is this correct? I don't think I have seen even a glimpse of violence when attending games but maybe I have just been spared. Would be interesting to know though.
Wow, interesting stuff. It seems like much has changed today as I have been walking down the High Road with rival fans literally a few feet away without any problems at all. Is it the CCTV's that has stopped much of the violence? I think I read somewhere that since then there has been some law changes for football related offences. From the late 60s through to the 80s it was bad inside and particularly outside grounds. Yeah great! We were right below him on the shelf in the seats. most of the coins aimed at him probably hit me. Porky parry was also in that same box a year or two before when he 'tried to climb out' as a joke and have a go!Giving it large to Liam Gallagher.
