Hi all,

As we are hopefully moving in the right direction to get our normal lives back including match days I thought it would be interesting to hear your best memories in a stadium when Spurs were playing.

It could be anything really; a funny one, just plain weird, a really good win, great atmosphere, you name it! Just look down your memory lane and I’m sure you will find something.

I’ll start: I live and grew up abroad so when going to games I guess I have a tourist aura over me and obviously I also have an accent which is not really Brittish. Anyway I was going to the Spurs - Bayer Leverkusen game at Wembley 2017 and for some reason plenty of people asked me where I bought the match day programme and every time I opened my mouth everyone looked at me and thought I was some German infiltrator or something. I even had to show my passport to some bloke lol. It was all fun and banter in the end but I realized that away supporters in the home ends are not appreciated, even in the Club Wembley section.

Other than that I guess my best memory is my first game at WHL which was the 5-0 win against Newcastle in 2012 when Adebayor turned in to prime Messi.

Spurs 6 - 1 Rochdale in the heavy snow at Wembley. Could barely see the other end of the pitch so missed a few of the goals.

VAR was ridiculous that night, and I was very anti it for a good few years (and I still feel like I'm against it now).

I was sat right next to the away end and I remember their fans being absolute ****s.

So I guess not my "best" memory, but certainly one that sticks out in my mind if I try to pick one out of the air.

My uncle got me a membership when I was 17, just started worked and had plently of spare cash so ended up going to all but 2 home games that season. It was the 07/08 season and managed to get a ticket for the 5-1 demolition of Arsenal.

Was incredible. I remember Que serra serra being sung non stop for what seems liked house, the whole stadium was so so loud, still gives me goosebumps.

City 2 (I think) Spurs 5 at Maine Road in the FA Cup. YouTube it. The City fans invaded the pitch to try and get at us and get the game called off. Live in BBC on a Sunday too. Should have been 6 - we had a great goal disallowed.

Other than that so many memories of great (and crap) games all over the place and plenty of funny moments. Even saw Spurs versus Truro City (7-0?) where we played them in order to open their floodlights. Been to 70 grounds in the UK and 25+ abroad. Great stuff.

Another couple of things stuck out for me.

Playing Chelsea next after Matthew Harding died at the Lane. Minutes silence immaculately observed by us. Really class, and regarding a class man who lived his club.

The other was the little kid getting out of the Front of Paxton walking to the Everton end to present a wreath in the Liverpudlians first game after Hillsborough. Again really class, and not to mention, a solemn atmosphere although we did win 2-1 walshie with both goals. Didn't matter that day.

I’ve heard stories about Man City when they where at Maine Road but that sounds nuts. The Truro City bit made me smile. Football at its finest.

What a great first game! I took my dad to that game for a birthday present - only his second visit in 50+ years supporting Spurs. We were pretty late arriving and nearly missed the first 2 goals which came pretty early on. Park Lane also did a great job trying to convince Harry to stay as he was being linked with England iirc.

Yeah it was a great first game and what a great birthday present it turned out to be for your dad. Yes BAE scored the first goal very early and you remember correct about the Park Lane and Redknapp bit. Fair to say I was over the moon and never wanted the game to end even though it was a freezing night in February.

One thing that has always stayed with me is the buzz in the ground after Hoddle scored 'that' volley v Manchester United

Couldn’t wait to see it on MOTD again to see if he actually just did that!

I always get them mixed up but I think my favourite was v Forest and peak Shilton! Don’t think it touched the ground from a lump up the field by Daines? Can’t be assed to google it!!

5th Nov 2006, PL, Spurs 2-1 Chelsea.
Our first league win over those pricks since 1990. And this was when they had Abramovich money.
WHL was literally bouncing. It was just fantastic.

Other memorable match for me was when my Dad started coming with me, returning to WHL for the first time in decades. His first game back and we thump Wigan 9.1. Unbelievable Jeff. 2009.

That City away game was one of my favourites. Fantastic atmosphere, hattrick for Nayim too

Not an individual moment, and I don’t know if many will relate but that feeling when you step out into the actual stadium itself (old and new) and see the grass, it always amazes me just how green the pitch is. It’s almost a joke just how green it is.

Yeah I remember the first time I saw it, I was in awe.

My first glimpse as I walk up the steps (into a new ground for me) is always special

Just been twice so far, but my oh! For me it's at the Lane against Chelsea January 1. 2015. 5-3 and the rise of Harry Kane got confirmed. Bricklayers drinking cider (hungover!) singing about John Terry's family.
What a trip btw. Spent New years eve in the Bethanal Green area and ended up at a immense rave party in an old factory alongside the Hertford union canal. You brits never end the nachspiel, bloody hell you go again

I was practically dead for a week after I landed back in Norway. Body was completely out, couldn't even work. Safe to say it was one heck of a weekend trip. Memories for life :)

Got a fair few, but a couple stick with me. Was at the old WHL to see two very different Robbie Keane goals. The one where he came from behind the keeper to steal it v Birmingham and his goal v Blackburn from the throw in.

As far as the new ground, have only been to one official first team game - City Champions League.

Was that the one where Nayim scored a cracking half volley, and they had to bring the mounted police out to deal with the riot it caused? I remember that off the TV.
