One thing to remember is Liverpool don't have a technically gifted midfield like man c or Ajax. I would have no problem seeing us lineup with Sissoko, Eriksen and Dele against Henderson Fabinho and Wijnaldum. Its their front 3 we need to worry about and then tracking Wijnaldums runs into the box but they will also have the same issue with Dele. This way we can get Kane, Son and Lucas on from the start.

Where are all the line-ups with Skipp in centre mid and Foyth as a holding midfielder...?!?

Huge call from Poch re starting Kane or not. If he does, I would be tempted to bench Dele to ensure we have the pace and goal threat of both Son & Lucas. But I don’t think Poch will do that, and have a hunch Lucas might be the one to make way.

Def 4-5-1 for me
but wondering if we could go Sissoko at RB with Dier holding in front of Winks and Eriksen CM. Then Dele/Kane up top with Son and Moura wide, working the channels.

I'd like Dier in as he does have that real grit and fight. Saw a post about him crunching Ramos and I think we need to be up for roughing them up a bit tomorrow, knock them out of rhythm. Winks def start for me if fit.

No way do we drop Sissoko, so just wondering how he'd fair at RB?

Seen quite a few people saying to start with Kane, Lucas, Son and Dele but for me I’d want to keep one of Son or Lucas on the bench for freshness in the second half. I can see this game going the distance.

Lloris

Aurier Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose

Sissoko Eriksen

Lucas Dele Son

Kane

A part of me would go with this, but Aurier hasn't had any game time, it would be reckless to start him. Tripps to start and I would go with that lineup.

Winks Dier

Lucas Eriksen Son

Dele/Kane

Very solid. Quick ball to Winks, then Eriksen and release to Son and Moura on the counter.

Sissoko at right back?

Have people lost the plot... he's our best midfielder. He needs to be in the middle.

I heard Micky Hazard on satellite radio say in passing he saw us in training practicing with Kane, Son, Moura, Dele and Eriksen in the same lineup.

Could just be one of a few options we were trying out. But even the hosts were commenting afterwards if he just accidentally gave the lineup away.

I’ll be very disappointed if Lucas doesn’t start. He is the reason we’re there in the first place. Would rather keep Dele or Son on the bench if Kane starts

Don’t get this sentimental thinking.

I doubt Liverpool fans are wanting Origi starting over Firmino despite being instrumental in beating Barca.

Someone on TalkSport(i think) was saying how Liverpool was expecting us to go 3 at the back, which is great because we'll almost certainly not do that.

Sure, but what Lucas did was far greater. As heads up as TAA's quick corner for Origi was, Harry Redknapp's wife could have scored it.

A 2nd half hat trick on 95:00 is the stuff of legend, Liverpool's winner was a school boy trick that worked.

So much wrong with this comment.

Ah don't spoil it for me with the Neg, no need to take offense, just saying that I can understand why people are more emotionally attached to Lucas than Origi. Seems reasonable.

Not being sentimental, he has been great away from home scoring a lot of important goals. And been one of our best players the last month.

It’s not the idea of Lucas playing he’s a quality player and would be in my starting line up it’s the notion of him having to play due to what he did in the previous round.

Fwiw I’d be dropping dele for Kane ( Wanyama for Winks ) in my line up
