As much as he deserves to start i think lucas should come on as a 60-70min sub.
We need pace off the bench because the emotion will tire legs and i fully expect the last 15-20mins to be end to end. For this reason id like lucas on and perhaps kane dropping a tad to get the ball to feet and pick that magical pass just as he did for alli v arse.
It sounds harsh but its got to be the gameplan.

Not conceding in the first half is by far our biggest challenge to win the cl.

We were playing 3-4-3 so Son wouldn't have normally played, We had Davies available but was too slow to deal with Chelsea's counters, if Rose was fit we would have won that, ah well.

Poch admitted that Son had played so well in the previous match that they had to find him a place in the team for the semi final. So he was shoe horned into the side for that reason.

Moura has to start. Terrible man management if he doesn’t and sends an awful signal to the other players.

Personally I don’t think Kane or Winks should start. Both will be rusty. I’d play Alli up top as a false nine, in a 433 and play Son and Moura wise. Liverpool’s defence won’t know who to pick up and Alli plays best further up the pitch.

People need to watch the semi final again. It’s not just the goals he scored. Watching it again it is remarkable his running and pressing, for one reason or another he has a different determination and belief for Champions League shown in his performances and his comments about the tournament.

Davies has played more often than Rose over the last few years, and that includes wins against Chelsea. They both create the same amount of chances and Davies is a better defender in my book.

I was taking about the FA cup 2016 semi final match against Chelsea, went way off on a tangent :D

Anyway Rose will start tomorrow, first choice now.

right FB will be an interesting selection

Trips up against Mo Salah scares the shit out of me, at least Aurier has the pace to go with him

Trippier played the full match recently at Anfield, which we should have won, everyone was saying beforehand that Mane would run him ragged, but that didn't happen.

Aurier hasn't got match fitness, or much experience playing in big matches, I mean, this time last year Trippier was scoring in a World Cup semi-final.

I feel like our best chance is to try and match our pace and running against their full backs. If we can keep the full backs occupied that’ll make it a lot easier. So I’d play Son and Lucas out wide and I’d play Eriksen in central midfield as we’ll need to get the ball out of midfield to those outlets as quickly as possible to really keep the full backs honest. If we are slow out of midfield then the fullbacks are going to feel they can get up when they want because getting back will be easy.

Trippier——Alderweireld—-Vertonghen——Rose

Sissoko——-Eriksen

Lucas————Dele—————-Son

It occurred to me this morning that we have won at least one trophy every full decade since WW2. Except this decade! Let’s hope by the end of tonight that record is still intact....

Been chopping and changing my mind all week but I'd now start with Kane on the bench and bring him on if we need to change it or after 60 mins. Hit them with pace early on and keep their fullbacks busy. We know Liverpool will have 3 in midfield so we need Winks and Sissoko imo. Harsh on Kane maybe but no way he's 100% fit or sharp. It's gamble either way.
