Since you think I dont offer an opinion... here's my opinion on most of the regular SC topics

Need a better LB than Davies
Need a better LWF than Bakkali
Need to keep Dembele, Paulinho and Soldado, all are top class
Rose isnt as bad as people say, would compete well with most LB's we could bring in
Need a worldie if he's gonna be replacing Ade... Bony, Lukaku, etc not good enough ATM unfortunately
Selling Siggy is a good idea
Need to sell Kaboul and keep Dawson
Lennon isnt going anywhere unfortunately
Townsend is developing nicely and should be cover for both of our wings
AVB was a great coach for us, criminal that we let him go really
Harry Redknapp was a great coach for us at the time, however if he moved on a season or 2 earlier I think we may have progressed further
Excited to see what Poch can bring to the table
Good post, I agree with some things and disagree with others, but I like the effort to keep it succinct and coherent.

I don't think we immediately need a better LB than Davies, I think many will be surprised at what he can offer. Fairly unique skillset for a FB.
Sure, but Bakkali would not be coming in to be a first teamer. He would 100% be coming in as a guy to develop within the squad. That being said Poch has a decision to make as several guys can play the position and have that same role (Ceballos, Falque, Chadli, etc.)
Agreed. On principle I don't agree with selling a player who has only been here one season (Paulinho & Soldado) while I also think Dembele is a very good player with a unique skillset and we should see if Poch can utilize that effectively.
I agree he's not as bad as people say, but he should be competing for a backup/squad role. Something which he is apparently not keen to do.
Don't agree. I think both Bony and Lukaku could be strong additions.
Agreed. Don't think he's good enough and there's too many developmental guys at his position who push him out of playing a squad role.
Disagree. Dawson just does not fit. I love the guy, but he sticks out really poorly in highline pressing systems.
Yeah, it's unfortunate. I think he'd be an amazing fit at Everton too, if they could get him or Mirallas to play on the left.
I am incredibly frustrated with Townsend 90% of the time I see him, but I agree he has talent and can develop that in a squad role. That being said if some club wants to throw money at us because he's english I would be all over selling him.
AVB was not going to get the job done in this kind of work environment. Too tactically inflexible to utilize the bargain signings we would acquire.
Agreed, his results speak for themselves, but we all knew we would have to move on and find someone more atctically capable eventually.
Same! I have very high hopes for Pochettino.

I think where we disagree mostly is that at many positions you think the only upgrade to be made is signing a worldie. I disagree, I don't think we're a top 4 club, I just think we could land a top 4 spot if everything goes right. I think we can just as easily be signing squad players who can develop into worldies as the club needs to come to grips with its position with the rest of the league and look at development instead. We should be looking at becoming a top 4 club in the future, not right this second. We don't have enough class players or enough financial backing. We need to worry about setting up a philosophy with a manager and sticking to it. Allowing us to add the right players and develop as a squad in the right way.

Doesn't Bakkali mostly play RWF? And is he really going to be able to make a real impact in our team when he's got only eleven starts in the Eredivisie? We need someone who can walk in and challenge for a start and he was struggling to hold down a starting spot at PSV. No doubt he'll be a great player eventually though.
Its just my own opinion that we wont get top 4 this season, even with a Kono or a Depay. So my logic is, lets build again so in 1/2 seasons we have some amazing players coming through. Personally I think Bakkali will be better than both within 12 months - 24 months.

He can play on either wing but mainly plays on the right to accommodate Depay on the left.

That is very cheap for a player of his potential, would much rather get him and save money then chase Jay Rod for weeks and overpay. We still have Chadli who can do a job whilst he develops. Really concerned about our summer transfers, a CD should be top priority not another central mid or a LWF. Although both are good players , we need a new CD!!!
