i actually think this is the best post in the thread.
i've only ever heard oppo fans say he's decent, never heard him get a laugh/slated oddly.
He cant pass therefore he is not our typical spurs player and everyone jumps on it. I think he shows great committment and can play probably better at RB and CD than CM! I think his and Jenas is a big time failure, just does not work.
You've really hammed it up here, nobody is saying he's the best player in the world, but this is an over-reaction of truly EPIC proportions.
To further highlight your foolishness:
Mabizela, Acimovic, Moussa Saib, Tramezzani, Vega, Dominguez, Dean Richards, Rasiak, ANDY BOOTH, Nethercott, Dean Austin, Rebrov (for us..he was a disaster), and ho ho ho, you didn't think i'd forgotten him did you?

cool , i agree with you about jenas so your half right :razz:
im hoping if zok scores a goal it might finally kick start him into a quality footballer , the guy has amazing pace and when he runs through the centre he looks unstoppable .............. until he gets near the goal when his composure disapears !!!
i agree he is not top quality but he defiantly aint the worst player i have seen

I agree he does seem to try/battle harder than the likes of Jenas. He just needs to take the toblerone's off his boots then maybe he'll start shooting straight!

For the money he is on, he is the worst player I've ever seen at the club. Get rid, should never play again. For those who say he works hard, I would, you would but does not mean we should get a game. Can't pass, shoot or tackle, thats what a footballer is supossed to do.

How much is he on then? :| I really have no idea what kind of money he's earning but i think the amount we pay him has little reflection on his physical ability to play football.
the piece i bolded. Is that all they have to do then? No movement off the ball, no tracking back, no bullying the midfield, no outpacing the oppos midfield despite already playing 70 minutes at top speed? No communication, no adaptability?

The money he is on is relative, it is certainly not an amount that he has set. If current wages in the prem were £500 per week, he would be on £500 per week. That's that one sorted.
In the same relative terms how much do you think Toda was on? Booth? Konchesky? Mabizela? Freund? etc etc etc
In terms of his working hard, there are other players in the team who are on as much and probably more than him but don't work as hard or seem to be as proud to be playing for the club! Do you really believe that once you had been earning x per week for a little while that you would be motivated to work hard because of the money? Players work hard for professional pride most of the time. The same way that I work hard in training, and I pay to play!
He could not work hard, sit in the reserves and still get paid? Winston Bogarde anybody?
Can't pass? His stats suggest otherwise as do my observations. He ran 40 yards last week and made a pass out wide for Pav's 3rd goal! He is no Carrick, that I will grant you, but to say he can't pass is just nonsense.
He can't shoot? Agreed. Although he did have a decent run and shot the other week. But then, does he really need to be able to shoot? Is it essential?
Can't tackle? Again, he is no Roy Kenae or Viera, but he can tackle and manages to break alot of attacks by doing just that.
Basically, while there are grounds for what you, and others, are saying, to put it in such infantile and simplistic terms is just lazy. If you are going to say that about Zokora, where is your Bentley comment? Or Bent? Or Jenas? Or Bale? Zokora has played vastly better than any of those players this season.

Whats the point in having a hard working player if his work is crap.
For a central midfield player playing for THFC in the EPL I say again, he cant pass shoot or tackle to the required standard.
As for Bentley, I dont think hes been at the club long enough to judge in the same way. I have defended Zokora many times but enough is enough.
I have given Bale a hard time, which maybe wasnt fair as he is still very very young.
At least Jenas can shoot.
