Tanganga is fast becoming the shining star of a very disappointing season. Excellent player. ⭐

this summers players have been fine. Yes Ndombele has been injury prone but looks great, Lo Celso has been plus for the team and Sess is a very young player with a good future.

We lack a DM and any sort of Kane backup, that has to be fixed quickly.
Realistically I think they're more likely to be sorted in the summer. Last summer's have done well so far indeed, but I don't think any more at once would've been smart, and I don't think the answers are likely to be available in January.

In my opinion, the only reason the club spent last summer was the nearly 100 million pounds of revenue brought in from the Champions League and the guarantee of Champions League money this season. If this squad misses out on Europe altogether, it's going to have a devastating impact on revenue. Even Europa likely guarantees 30+ million pounds and 5 minimum home matches in ticket sales. Without that European revenue, on top of losses of value in Eriksen, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier and others, I can't see a serious spend in the summer. Which means the club are going to have to look for 2-3 loans, largely stay as is and hope for internal improvement (unlikely) or sell Dele, Winks and Dier in order to strengthen positions. You get a homegrown premium in the market for those players, and you can likely live without them in your squad.

I wonder if this is him ditching the attacking he was talking about in order to tighten us up. In fairness we haven’t much choice if we don’t buy a striker.

No Parrott sends a statement that we’re in a dire need of a new striker imo

Overdoing it methinks. Sarr had him in his pocket from the 20th minute on and whilst it bodes well for Japhet's development to be playing against player's like him, it would be wrong to say he had a good game. There were plenty of sliced clearances etc that would have us berating other players.

To be fair though who else from our squad could have handled Sarr? On another topic I was saying we should have bought Adama Traoré, investment needed as this is another transactional period. ?

Troy Deeney is a sorry excuse of a footballer
There’s just something about Deeney’s face that indicates he is capable of laying some really tyrannical turds

Thought lo celso didn’t do too bad today he pressed and looked to move the ball forward but another disappointing game from Alli again. We need a focal point up front and two wingers were so narrow

I think what Jose’s trying to do is slowly starting to bear fruit.

We look so much better defensively, they hardly had any decent opportunities, and neither did Liverpool last week.

A month ago we were heamorraging goals all over the place.

It won’t have escaped his attention that we appear incapable of scoring without Harry Kane. I’m sure he has a plan.

Good, Levy has demonstrated that he's totally and completely reactive in the transfer market. No hope whatsoever of him proactively solving the problems that are staring us in the face, so Jose applying pressure on him publicly is about the only thing we can hope will spur him to action.
Poch tried that and got the elbow soon after.
